DIY Atlas Stone Build Instructional - Homemade Strongman Equipment

Decided I didn’t want to pay for an atlas stone so I made one. Unlike all the other DIY builds I’ve seen on KZread, this one doesn’t need stupid and messy plaster of Paris or expensive atlas stone molds. This is definitely the easiest way to make your own atlas stone... eh, even if it did turn out a bit mis-shapen. Please leave any questions, comments or any advice in the comments. Now let’s get stoned!

    I've been a Mason for 22 years. I have never seen somebody mix concrete with a pick axe. Come on bro the right tool for the right job. Although the Batman mug is right there with standards and practices.👌

    I am thinking about doing exactly this, but maybe using paper mache to create a stiff shell around the ball so it keeps its shape.

    I was wondering if this would work like that with a rubber ball. Good call on the duct tape shell and the sand support.

    So I bought fast setting concrete and it pretty much dried over night, but I left it for a full weekend before removing from the mould just in case. I then left it for another 2 weeks in the garage before using it. Cheers

    Am I looking at it wrong..but wouldn't the air get released once whole is cut it the top of the ball? What am I missing here

  • @robinwilliamson95

    @robinwilliamson95

    2 жыл бұрын

    No, as long as you don’t over inflate the ball it’ll hold it’s shape. The duct tape stops it from collapsing. I tried it before with a ball that I over inflated and it did exactly what you thought would happen, it shrank and shrivelled and didn’t work. Put enough air in it to just inflate it, but without stretching it 👍
