DIY Alice in Wonderland Christmas Ornaments out of cotton and cheap dolls
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hi everyone, in today's video I'll show you how to make cotton Christmas ornaments, this is the first part of the series of videos about making a set of ornaments based on Alice in Wonderland fairytale.
Here I'm using cotton in roll, this one is very common in Russia, sold at every pharmacy, but it's not as common in the US, so best is to order it online if you want to DIY such ornaments. Here are some links for buying this kind of cotton on Amazon (maybe you also have this kind of cotton at pharmacies, I"m just not sure about this):

You will also need white glue, you can use school white glue, but you will need quite a lot, so better if you have a big jar of it. If your glue is too sticky and difficult to work with, just thin it with water a little.

Here is the link to the set of exactly the same dolls as I've used (though you can use any cheap dolls you have): amzn.to/3pQfzwb
Here is the link for the metal crowns I used for the queen:

I absolutely love the queen of hearts, but all the figures are lovely. You are so talented, Irene.
these are wonderful! you make it look deceptively simple but your talent is outstanding! so happy to have found your channel.
I’m a fellow artist who’s genre is mosaics. I do however cross into other mediums from time to time; I cannot tell you how empresses I am with your talents. I have always admired those who work on a micro level (including micro mosaics), I however am not one of them… lol I couldn’t stop watching how you turned simple cotton balls into these beautiful micro sculptures. Trust me, mine would be a gooey mess! Amazing! Happy Holidays

Thanks a lot! My contour paint is of a Russian local brand, called Tair, look for Pebeo contour paints, they are available in the US and are of very good quality, you can buy any contours, for glass or fabric - that doesn't matter much, all work equally well here)
Tree ornaments made from small plastic and unimpressive dolls to quality dolls. Many dollhouse hobbyists will forgo using dolls because most detract instead of complimenting all their work. Your talent would be helpful in creating quality mini dolls. 👋
is the cotton wool just cotton batting?
@IrenesDIY

I'm not sure how cotton batting looks like. I'm using cotton in roll here, I've left the links for similar cotton in the description box
Love your videos what type of primer are you using
@IrenesDIY

Here no primer is needed)
Do you use regular cotton. In USA the cotton seems more like acrylic

Yes, that's natural cotton
