DIY 7ft Grim Reaper Halloween Prop

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Make a huge 7ft Grim Reaper out of wood, pvc pipe, and cloth. This cost me $25 in materials and took a weekend to make. Cloth can be found cheap at your local Good Will store or ask friends.
The plug is called a Vampire plug and can be found here:

    the only things I would have done differently is I would have added a skull face inside the hood, with the possible addition of light up eyes and of course, it can't be the grim reaper without his scythe

  • @SPCLPONY

    @SPCLPONY

    2 жыл бұрын

    I found just the perfect hidden skeletal face prop at Lowes the other day. It's just the hooded head, with black veil hiding a skeleton face behind. When activated by sound or light, a battery operated voice box says a few creepy lines while laughing. The face lights up from behind the veil and it's eyes flash in red! I plan to build this into a reaper like in this video!

  • @Bluebelle51

    @Bluebelle51

    @@SPCLPONY I found a "fossil" of a pterodactyl at the thrift store, I'm using that to top the scythe for my reaper this year. It's a resin replica, so I'm giving it a metallic finish, filling the eye sockets with hot glue and putting some of those dollar tree lights in the eye holes before I mount it on a broom handle.

    Looks great, two quick questions. It looks like you added another piece of PEX for the shoulder/chest area, correct? Also, you used two pieces of cloth, one for the body and one for the hood/cloak, right?

  • @MakerMaxCorbett

    @MakerMaxCorbett

    3 жыл бұрын

    I did use 2 pieces of cloth as I did not have 1 single piece big enough. If you are buying cloth it is cheaper to get 2 smaller pieces plus I think it is easier to work with. I am not sure about the PEX, but do what you think needs to happen to make yours look great!

    Awesome 👏 how does the easy sand hold up outdoors?

  • @MakerMaxCorbett

    @MakerMaxCorbett

    3 жыл бұрын

    Honestly it has been good outside. The wind was the biggest issue as it will blow the thing around facing the house and not the road. Also storing it is a pain as it is in a hot attic on it's side. That is where the most damage has come from.
