Ғылым және технология
An amazing Dixie Dregs concert - they still have every bit of the magic and power they had way back when! This video shows the end of the night when Warren Haynes and John Scofield were invited up on stage to jam with the Dregs. They are such a professional, collaborative band which shows in their exceptional music! This was a great concert!

I think Steve is really enjoying himself just watching other's play. That's a humble man. Absolutely no ego at all.

Steve is a humble guy - have met him a number of times, and he’s always that way. Really a super-nice guy who respects others.

His reaction when Sco solo made me smile😊
Jeez! Sco is killing it! The harmonies he‘s outlining in "Crossroads"! What a master player.
I got met Steve Davidowski, keyboardist with the Dregs at a coffee shop in Marshall, NC a few weeks ago. He came in to get a coffee and sat down and played the old upright piano that was in the coffee shop. Super nice guy.
I love how happy Andy West looks when he's playing with his bros, The Dregs. :)
Holy wow Scofield went to Mars and didn't even need no Mars rover, great stuff thanks for the upload ❤️
I can happily say I was at this show. Bucket list item to see the Dregs. Didn't ever think it would happen so you could say I was very happy. I've seen Steve play with Al DiMeola, Paco Delucia, and John McLaughlin back in the early 80's but this was the first chance to see the Dregs. And that encore was awesome.
I was there. Warren and John were sitting in box seats at the theater. My brother, who is a huge Warren Haynes fan, spotted them. Then Steve' guitar tech appeared in the box and started talking to Warren and John, and that's when we knew there was going to be one hell of a jam that night. ;-)
Shit John Scofield is a God..period! The dregs are freakin cool too.
all these guys are my heroes, but, i mean, SCO!!! just more swing/coolness/vibe. every time i try to add outside lines, it just sounds forced, but his use of whole tones and half-diminished is so melodic and effortless. simultaneously loose and refined. so great

Sco just blew the roof off. Went a little bit outside. Got Steve to make THE FACE and play air guitar!
Everytime I listen to JS playing I try to imagine what on his mind. Impossible, he’s simply a genius 😊

Cool - and funny - seeing SM enjoying the guests do their thing.
That must have been a special, forever-memory treat for the live audience. I saw Scofield in 1983 or thereabouts, just after he’d returned from a tour in Japan. Sco, bass, drums, sax. Transcendental experience. That’s what life should offer on a routine basis. It can. Try meditation. To reach someone who can assist you, just say, “Oooooommmmm,” repeatedly, or stare at your nose, or, you know, do something like that. You sort of want to relax and float downstream. But I digress. Wow, to have a seat there, close to the stage. What lucky tickets those were!
This was a couple of weeks before I saw The Dregs at The Vic in Chicago. Nice post. Thanks.👍✌🤘😷🤘
Steve was all-in to take a solo at 5:56 hehehe.... What a Great Performance. Steve and John Scofield are out of this world.
Saw the Dregs later that year in Dallas and Andy Timmons and Jennifer Batten did this with them as an encore. Awesome.
JOHN Scofield... c'mon. Even humble Steve knows how great he is.

Ain't that so..... respect all around....
Definitely worth viewing. But a must listen, some great tunes and LP's, In the 70s-80s they were so hot and funky. " Dregs of the Earth " should be tried by anybody with a set of ears. They 're best album of the early years, which was about they're 4th LP.

No doubt about that Patrick!!!
Warren plays with everybody.
Steve and Warren together...... both my guitar heroes.... then add Scofield....... HolyShit.... I LOVE this...... .....and Steve gives them so much space....... Morse is the greatest.......
wow wow wow wow WOW!!! Damn these players!! I love how blues guitar leaves almost endless ways to approach the same chords and licks. Steve is just the coolest most gentlemen shredder in music!! The Dregs are a musical masterpiece. I saw the Dregs reunion show in Sacramento. It was a bucket list show. Damn I wish Steve's hand and wrist were in better shape. His right hand technique is just tendonits and carpal tunnel waiting to happen!!
Morse is freaking out watching Scofield.
After watching this I turned around and my guitars jumped off their stands and went back into their cases.....

My guitars had really sad faces....and I feed them plenty of fresh strings!
Holy cow. I’m not a guitarist but for me John Scofield’s solo was mind blowing!
Wonderful playing. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
How cool is this,
Warren & Scoe my favorite guitar players combo!🙏🎸
Who the hell puts a thumbs down on this!!!
Absolute awesomeness!
The short time Steve got to play here was the most interesting and enjoyable for me!
THANKS
Fantastic
Didn't have my glasses on at first and Warren looked like Sam Kinison 🤣
ジョンスコのクロスロード❗カッコ良さ抜群👍
Sco went into inter galactic space travel.. most awesome :)
Ive watched Warren school Derek more than once with that slide
We need the dregs to come together again in 2024....why not?..true musicians don't need to retire....they can have guests join them and mix it up, like Ringo does it... different guests, different styles..... Steve Morse can play any style....they should do it for the fans...

Dixie Dregs and John Scofield jamming together??! SO cool!!! Too bad Steve took too much of a backseat. I expeced to see him and John dueling and trading licks.
Steve Morse is a god, he is ageless. Look at him compared to these other old men. What an inspiration!
Scofield has a WHOLE BUNCH of secret notes installed on his guitar, and it's clear that Morse knows it, and loves it. Round about 5:11 - what the JEEBERS is Scofield doing. At least half those notes are completely out-of-tune, except when they're played together... a great deal of humor abounded in that. I mean, Morse was my biggest and best teacher - and he's just laughing, no can do.
Yes - JOHN Scofield! I posted it quickly without looking back - sorry! Thanks for the correction!
Sco sank that ship real good XD
When does John Scofield ever not mesmerize?
SCO!
Love how much Steve enjoys John! He has to tweak that midrange on the ENGL for him to increase his audibility a touch. :) Rod's solo is insane; seems to leave the beat entirely, but if you keep counting, it's perfect. great stuff!!

Yeah, that is my favorite thing that Morgenstein does. He's so great!
Everybody is God
I think you meant John Scofield in your title...Don Scofield?
Did you happen to get any more of the show? I'm looking to put together a multi-angle.

Sorry - this is all I have of it.
I was never a big fan of Sco, but I thought he played quite well here. He should incorporate more blues into his sets cos he's darn good at it.

Great comment. For decades I tried to "get" Scofield. He always sounded like his ideas were great but he struggled technically. Not so here. This is literally the first thing of his that I love. This is awesome.

Yep.
Steve got cheated a little but it looked like he was enjoying himself.
An unlikely pairing - respectfully not a great fit but amazing players and careers
Scofield plays bazaar but interesting phrases. Ultimately, he doesn't sound good to me.
