Dixie Dregs with Warren Haynes and John Scofield 3-12-2018

Ғылым және технология

An amazing Dixie Dregs concert - they still have every bit of the magic and power they had way back when! This video shows the end of the night when Warren Haynes and John Scofield were invited up on stage to jam with the Dregs. They are such a professional, collaborative band which shows in their exceptional music! This was a great concert!

I think Steve is really enjoying himself just watching other's play. That's a humble man. Absolutely no ego at all.

I got met Steve Davidowski, keyboardist with the Dregs at a coffee shop in Marshall, NC a few weeks ago. He came in to get a coffee and sat down and played the old upright piano that was in the coffee shop. Super nice guy.

I can happily say I was at this show. Bucket list item to see the Dregs. Didn't ever think it would happen so you could say I was very happy. I've seen Steve play with Al DiMeola, Paco Delucia, and John McLaughlin back in the early 80's but this was the first chance to see the Dregs. And that encore was awesome.

I was there. Warren and John were sitting in box seats at the theater. My brother, who is a huge Warren Haynes fan, spotted them. Then Steve' guitar tech appeared in the box and started talking to Warren and John, and that's when we knew there was going to be one hell of a jam that night. ;-)

all these guys are my heroes, but, i mean, SCO!!! just more swing/coolness/vibe. every time i try to add outside lines, it just sounds forced, but his use of whole tones and half-diminished is so melodic and effortless. simultaneously loose and refined. so great

That must have been a special, forever-memory treat for the live audience. I saw Scofield in 1983 or thereabouts, just after he’d returned from a tour in Japan. Sco, bass, drums, sax. Transcendental experience. That’s what life should offer on a routine basis. It can. Try meditation. To reach someone who can assist you, just say, “Oooooommmmm,” repeatedly, or stare at your nose, or, you know, do something like that. You sort of want to relax and float downstream. But I digress. Wow, to have a seat there, close to the stage. What lucky tickets those were!

Definitely worth viewing. But a must listen, some great tunes and LP's, In the 70s-80s they were so hot and funky. " Dregs of the Earth " should be tried by anybody with a set of ears. They 're best album of the early years, which was about they're 4th LP.

The Dregs are a musical masterpiece. I saw the Dregs reunion show in Sacramento. It was a bucket list show. Damn I wish Steve's hand and wrist were in better shape. His right hand technique is just tendonits and carpal tunnel waiting to happen!!

We need the dregs to come together again in 2024....why not?..true musicians don't need to retire....they can have guests join them and mix it up, like Ringo does it... different guests, different styles..... Steve Morse can play any style....they should do it for the fans...

Scofield has a WHOLE BUNCH of secret notes installed on his guitar, and it's clear that Morse knows it, and loves it. Round about 5:11 - what the JEEBERS is Scofield doing. At least half those notes are completely out-of-tune, except when they're played together... a great deal of humor abounded in that. I mean, Morse was my biggest and best teacher - and he's just laughing, no can do.
