The most under-appreciated band ever.

Not true, Its not over appreciated enough! :P
Uncle Steve has been a part of my musical family for many years, what i don't get is why he chose to retire that beloved tele/stratnecked humbuckered guitar, it had such a signature tone that none of the musicmans can ever touch, to this day it's my favorite axe, bless you Steve .....you are one of a kind my man
These guys are at the top of their game.
This is an absolutely freaking awesome version of The Bash ! And T. Lavitz was indeed one piano playing maniac!
OMG!!! It's so good my brain hurts!! Now that's how country is played. Steve shreds with clear purpose and intensity. Ya mega great, totally unnoticed by nearly everyone.
I caught them whenever they played in the midwest back in the 70s. This song always brought the house down.
spectacular! of course
It's amazing anyone had a video camera at this performance!
Funny how much attention was given EVH and Randy in the late 70's as the best guitar players at the time, but too few knew about Steve's ability. All due respect to them both, they were phenomenal players, but Steve could outpick either of them and had the rock licks to match. I still listen to High Tension Wires fairly often. Tumeni Notes is about the most aptly titled song ever 😄
I love the Dixie Dregs!!!
@strangher11 I too miss the growl of his old frankenstein telecaster, his musicman never had the same tone but Steve's incredible playing and technique would make even a cigar box guitar sound good.As someone who's been there since the late 70's,this is the best Morse(imho),this DD era.....

I could be mistaken but I believe that in an interview I read, Steve said that his Frankencaster was to the point where it had to be modded mid show/all the time or something like that just to stay in tune. Steve didn't retire it...it retired after all those years of being pushed to it's limits haha
The Dregs were never the same for live performances after Allen Sloan left the band.
DD! Omg! Love these guys!
O'conner didn't join them until about '81, so this was '81-82...
Uncle Steves still on tour w/ the Morse Band, i gotta go !! LOL
I was at that Brandywine Club show too. Great place and great show ! I'll bet you were at that Zoo show, weren't you ?

Are you sure this isn't later b/c isn't that Mark O'Connor on violin? And he didn't play with them until around 1980?
