Steve Morse is a rare band leader whose playing prowess is equaled by his compositional prowess, with all of it wrapped in a package of shocking humility. This allows him to garner musicians who are also at the top of their games. It's really all about the music. Truly a unique band of supremely gifted players. Listen to Odyssey, then listen to Hereafter. If you are not hooked, you never will be.

"I'm Freaking Out" and "Leprechaun Promenade" should be mandatory listening for anyone exploring the Dregs and Steve Morse. I've been a fan since first hearing "Cruise Control", I don't clearly remember where, but it would have been right around 4 decades ago. I first saw Steve and the boys when they did a Halloween show at the Agora Ballroom in Atlanta a couple years later. Dregs and SMB have been my reference standard for musical chops of near superhero levels my entire adult life... I'd like to get Steve Morse and Les Claypool together. 😉 Steve's signature machine gun alternate picked flurries of notes could sound awesome in combination with the way Les blurs the distinction between a string instrument and percussion. Gimme more! 😉😁👍
