Yohnathan Far Oh, is that you on the show? No disrespect but you are too good for that relationship. Whatever growth she has to make, she has to do it on her own, so she can stand on her own. As opposed to crushing you with the weight of her expectations, insecurities and her own inadequacy. It isn't healthy for either of you to be together while she makes that journey, and tbh it may not be safe for either of you. You on the other hand, need to examine exactly why it is that you have made the decision to be in a relationship that obviously doesn't fulfill you, and what compels you to continue to be around a person that doesn't respect and accept you as you are. Yes, she has problems she needs to address on her own. But that you choose to continue to deal with her as she is, is a problem that you should address on your own also. The fact that she called the police on you and encourages you to get into fights, means she doesn't value your safety. If you didn't leave before the police got there, as a Black man, you'd be in jail or even dead. I caught it when you said you destroyed her personal property, had an emotional outburst and are also a bit irresponsible with money, so I can't put it all on her, because you have behavior that you need to address also. If you feel it's something she brings out in you, then it's _still_ your responsibility to leave a situation that brings out destructive behavior in you. I'm not trying to be condescending, I'm saying this because I've been in that situation, in a toxic relationship where I thought that if I tried enough and gave enough, I could help my partner through whatever they were going through, so that we could move forward together. It doesn't work like that. No one will ever change, if you don't give them the opportunity to change by giving them the chance to find themselves, as opposed to finding their flaws in you. And that goes both ways, because you're not giving yourself the chance for growth either. You should examine why you feel responsible for seeing her through this process, even though it has been detrimental and unfulfilling to you thus far, it enables destructive behavior in you, and whatever you've done for 5 years hasn't worked. I caught that you've been on your own since 15, so I see your upbringing wasn't the easiest. I can relate, and maybe you should start there. Best of luck. You are a handsome, sensitive man, and being able to express that sensitivity is very special. It didn't say you had any children lol, so you're ahead of the game. Think about it. It is for her to figure out why she can not be by herself... why she has to be with any man to fulfill her emptiness at that point and time. She is hurting and she has to figure out why. Basically you just can’t date ratchet people. These type of people usually grow up in dysfunctional violent homes so if they date someone normal it throws them out of place. They basically become a fish out of water. I’m speaking from experience my last relationship was with a man who grew up in pure ratchetiness. It was so bad he didn’t want anything to do with his family & I never met any of his family members . To make a long story short, he made my life a living hell! He would intentionally create drama & arguments when things became too peaceful. I basically got out that toxic relationship it’s not worth losing your peace of mind over.

They are both immature, especially the woman. If they stay together, counseling is a must. If he's solving his financial problems with selling drugs, he would be out in my book.

She's looking for gratification in sex and it isn't working. People like her do tend to see everyone else's issues and not their own. He needs to find some self respect , personal dignity and get away from her. Everytime he had money problems it was caused by reacting to her bullshit. She's with him because he's the only person that'll put up with her big nasty ass and he keeps needing a place to stay.

I wish Judge Lynne could post advice/steps on how to combat self dis-satisfaction. Many of us are in that situation and we just don't know how to tackle it.

The first time I can see that if you break up with someone you think that's the end of it all but if you break up and make you every other week you know it's not the end of it all. That's just her wack ass excuse to throw her 🐈 around.

they both have emotional issues. She is emotionally confused, and constantly needs validation. He is emotionally insecure which is why he keeps going back to a woman who tears him down and his manhood. The judge is right on this.

Just bc they been together for 5 years doesn’t mean they should get married. Whenever they get into fights, they break up , and find a new man; just to have someone bc she can’t stand to be alone. The judge asked if she was ready for marriage, she hesitated and said yeah with him. How so? She complains about his sensitive feelings, not standing up for her, inability to spend money wisely, and his herbal refreshment session. And she wants him to change, but she doesn’t see she needs to change more than him. Marriage isn’t the answer, it’s not a magic wand that’ll erase everything bad in the relationship and reassure that everything will be fine. 23 & 24 is still young, just date a lot of people until you find the right one for you
