Hutchler Correction incoming: AWD is still it's own multiplier. The difference being that all these multipliers do is add together to give you the final Multiplier. Which the base damage of the weapon is multiplied by. In short, I messed up the terminologies, again. ALL HAIL HUTCHLER! This will also be addressed in another video when we look at weapon talents.

Im a DPS junkie, and all I know is you have to have increased weapon DMG, multiplicative Dmg, and amplified Dmg to boost your CHD and CHC is basically DPS efficiency.

@Erin Morales Hey, hope it's not to late to ask....What's the order in building dps...I thought it's overall weapon 1-damage(15%red), 2-attribute 10% a/R, rifle, smg) damage, 3-talent (measured), then 4-dta, dtooc, dth...Thanks 👍

So on a damage build that has hollow man and fox’s , which is better crit chance or crit damage? Asking bcuz i have a build with those things n my stats are 49 chance n 166 damage. Also my chest is spotter back pack vigilance. Should I go with obliterate n companion instead? Please help me to understand more. Thank you for this great content.

Here's an idea for your next videos for talents: identifying and segregating unique multipliers from generic multipliers. To define the terms, unique multipliers are multipliers that are multiplicative to all other multipliers, and only additive to itself, e.g. hollow man and AR secondary stat. From this vid, I assume it's safe to say that all conditional multipliers such as dtoc, dta, dth, headshot, crit are unique multipliers. Glass cannon is also probably a unique multiplier talent, based on your vids. Then there's generic multipliers, which also multiply with other multipliers, but are additive to other generic multipliers, like vigilance and obliterate. Of course, correct any of these if any are wrong. Edit: just rewatched the end bit with strikers, so strikers is also a unique multiplier by these definitions, with the old strikers being the only one to also be exponential.

@@gundamforreal Yeah, it hit a bit of backlash about that. Apparently I am re inventing terms ect ect. Though, I do not recall an official manual being released that explained all of this. So, I kind of feel I am allowed to make up what ever terms I want. I will look into the terminology with Hutchler and a few others, since the main thing I get picked up on lately is just not wording things correctly. Despite how I am uncaring for pandering to anyone, I also do not wish to confuse the issue by adding in my own terms.

Whelp, that's disappointing, but can't say I'm surprised. I'm with you on that though, don't see the harm in giving things your own definitions if there are no official ones around. And yea looking forward to the terminology you guys think everyone can agree with. That would hopefully bring about some much needed clarity when talent debates come up, which they inevitably will.

@@DodRegnbue honestly, I'm down for inventing new terms as long as they are clearly defined and are consistent. Clearly, the devs screw up their own definitions and in-game descriptions so much that those terms aren't necessarily that great anymore anyways.
What is the music you use? It sounds like background music from Deadly Premonition. It's cool. I have never really taken the time to fully understand all this, so nice one.

A quick question, would an AR with Damage to Health and Damage to Armour be a good choice, would the damage values switch. So after depleting armour the weapon then switches to damaging health ?

I believe so. I make sure my weapons have both just so I do more damage overall. Ive noticed a difference (though little) but it could just be a placebo lol

Dtooc is better since dta is specific, but dtooc is recommended since it affects all targets, if im going for full dps, id rather be able to kill them as quickly as possible, no matter what the target is
So, basically what I'm getting from this is that your base dmg is weapon/gear, and some mods. Everything else is conditional?

I’m particular about using the range as a means to justify dmg capabilities. It more or less shows what you can do if the npcs just stand 5 meters from you and don’t do anything while you blast their brains out. Appreciate you providing in game verification.

Damage is damage. If it be on s spread sheet, range or in the world, there is no difference. Range is easier for me to show. Spread sheets take time to calculate, world is more entertaining for the viewer. Range allows you to control the variables, the world just adds more RNG to it. I get your point, and I do sympathise, but shooting and enemy at 5 meters with an AR is the same as shooting that at 20 meters in the world. If they shoot back. Recalculate, remove vigilance. The only thing that will not be consistent is the DPS, just because more shots that land on target is more DPS. Range doesn't move, world enemies do.

@@DodRegnbue to follow you other video , how about big hurty and little hurty 1. how long before incoming focus nerf (best guess!) / or "sniper scopes" no longer fit AR's as damage output near cheesemaker (sorry Heartbreaker) levels 2. is is hollowman or contractors better option on chunga/dog/robotic laden phases of legendaries 3. refering back to previous content why the C7 over honey badger ? just picked an HB/strained is it worth investing in , whats the meta secondary M1/scorpio /ACS ? any honourable mentions ?
here i can help to keep it simple and short for people who dont want to watch the video : crit damage and damage to target out of cover are multiplicatives or multipliers are the highest damage calculation in the game, they multiplies damage added thats why heartbreaker before nerf they are so insane. damage to armor, damage to health, weapon damage, skill damage, status effects = these are additives which as the name suggest it adds those extra to those said status involved.

No, not even close. Good try though. DTA, DTH and DTOOC are all technically the strongest multipliers in the game, they just depend on what you are shooting. Everything in the game is "technically" a Multiplier, it just depends on their interactions with other things. DTA adds to DTA but Multiplies with everything else. Glass Canon Multiplies with everything. TWD adds to TWD. The disconnect is where in the equation it happens. Weapon damage and skill damage hapen at base, making them weaker. Total Damage, happens after the end result, allowing for a larger Damage multiplier.

@@DodRegnbue Long ago (years) the equation was figured out and posted on reddit. I've long since forgotten it (though it shouldn't be hard to find), but it'd help immensely here because that's what made me remember AWD and WD are different.
