D.O. pronounce D and O differently, "Do" is his last name though. Also, He can not speak English but his pronunciation is great for any language. He is also a chef. Baekhyun, D.O, and Chanyoel are definitely the members who are great at everything (D.O isn't good at games though 😅) Suho isn't necessarily the weakest dancer,(In my opinion, it's Chanyeol, but his height is a disadvantage for dancing) Xiumin(shoe min) is also the lead dancer of EXO. almost all EXO members are belters tbh. but Baekhyun and Chen are definitely the high-note guys while D.O. is the adlib and background runs and riffs guy. All the EXO members are actors, most of them are actually good at it and have pretty stable careers. All EXO members have their own places, but Suho( who is known as the silver spoon idol because of his wealthy parents) still lives in the dorm, because they often need to stay together, leaving the dorm together means the company can give it to other trainees or idols. Almost all EXO members can play different instruments, Like Suho can play guitar and Piano, and Lay can play more than 3 instruments. Chen has 2 babies now. Baekhyun, Chen, and Chanyeol are the loudest (they are the beagle line or same age line) Trust me EXO's high notes are the prettiest for men. They actually follow the rule and sing, so their high notes sound very full and soulful.

Thank you for all the great information. I'm going to try to soak it up, but I have no claims on being a sponge, so I'll probably have to be reminded roughly 1,400 times. That's awesome that they still use the dorm to get back together as a group.

Kyungsoo received his first acting lessons in his company "SM Entertainment". The teacher noticed that he really has abilities, talent and that the desire to engage in acting is not a little important. In South Korea, idols who started acting were not treated very well, "the stereotype that idols have no talent for acting". But it was Kyungsoo who changed everything by breaking all the stereotypes with his talent. He was able to prove to everyone that he is a full-fledged Do Kyungsoo actor, and not just playing an idol from the EXO group. He has quite a few roles on his account and the filmography is being updated to this day. While Kyungsoo served in the army, he became the most anticipated actor in Asia and the expectation was justified. Immediately after his return, he starred in 3 projects at once, two films "not out yet" and one drama "bad prosecutor" which was released recently. For the movie "Swing Kids" that interested you, Kyungsoo learned to tap dance and learned the North Korean language in just a few months. Chanyeol is probably the one that is "best at ever" because if he isn't he will become. He is highly competitive and hates to lose. If he fails he will train as his life depend on it and become a master. For example he lost at a bowling game and then he trained so hard he won for 2 years the gold medal for bowling competition against other artists. He is also taller now ( the military said he went in with 1,86 m tall and he finished with 1,87, sorry I don't know how much is that in American system) He won several awards in the military and participated in their military musical which had a lot of success. Chanyeol is the first idol to have a military photocard. He is the brand embassador for Prada and Aqua De Parma now. Sehun is embassador for Dior now. Chen is the only one without acting career. He acted in a musical in theatre "in the heights" and cameo on their line web drama "EXO next door" but he has so many OSTs. BaekHyun and Chen has the most OST's out but Suho, Xiumin, Lay, Chanyeol and D.O have them too. Actually Chanyeol OST's "Stay with me" for the drama Goblin is the most viewed OST's. Suho has 2 albums Chen has 3 BaekHyun has 4 Kai has 3 D.O has 1 Xiumin has 1 Lay has many, I can't remember how many Sehun and Chanyeol are preparing to have their solo debut this year. EXO is coming back soon, it seems they been filming in Jeju Island recently for it. Kai and Sehun will have to enlist in the military at the end of the year or beginning of the next one. I really wish we had more up to date guides. There's a lot of missing information in this ones and the Cesar Oh too. But that's all we got.

Do Kyungsoo is just an incredible person that I will never stop admiring. At first glance, the album, the songs and his vocals may seem simple, but in fact it is not so at all. A large range does not make you a better vocalist yet, because another important role is played by the "technique", which Kyungsoo undoubtedly has great. He has such control over his voice that he makes all the transitions from low to high notes completely smoothly and even seems to make no effort. Quite naturally, during a song, it can change its timbre from incredibly sweet to sexually rude and sound simply amazing in each. Kyungsoo is one of those few vocalists who can make your heart flutter. / This album is something unique that Kyungsoo has put his soul into. He himself wrote the lyrics for the title song "Rose", and also took a direct part in writing each song. He learned to play guitar while still serving in the army, studied independently and played each of his songs from the album to record. He has recorded songs in several languages "Korean, English, Spanish" which not everyone does. PLEASE REACTION TO D.O. SOLO ALBUM "EMPATHY".

Lay was part of EXO's last comeback. He suffers from hemophilia so tends to be scared of birds as well as sharp beaked animals. He has left SM Entertainment but maintains that he's still a member of EXO. EXO is group from SM Entertainment. SM Entertainment started the k-pop idol system. ALL SM artists can sing regardless of their official position. SM is known especially for Vocals and Visuals. There are jokes about there being something in the waters at SM that produce incredible vocalists. SM artists are also well-rounders so most are models, variety show stars, actors, etc. Some other SM groups you might be familiar with are Super Junior, Red Velvet, Shinee, Girls Generation, TVXQ, NCT, 1st generation groups H.O.T., Shinhwa, S.E.S., etc. Super Junior are considered Variety show royalty. LOL SM is the hardest agency to join. While you see all other agencies send trainees to those reality audition shows, SM does not because their standards are so strict. I believe the original 12 EXO members were chosen from a group of 150 trainees. All EXO members can sing well. A few of the members would easily be considered "main" vocalists except that EXO's 3 main vocalists, Chen, D.O., and Baekhyun, are often considered the Holy Trinity of Vocals. LOL I think that Kyuhyun from Super Junior is rated the best k-pop vocalist (technically) as of right now.. D.O. is usually called by his given name, Kyung Soo. That's the name he goes by when acting. Baekhyun doesn't go by Bacon. Tge individualized Caesar Oh guides have the correct pronunciations of their names. There are only 2 more EXO members who need to fulfill their military obligations. Right now none of the EXO members are in the military (Baekhyun just returned) so they're prime for a comeback before the youngest two members have to go in later this year. SM groups are trendsetters. EXO has been called the Nation's Pick and have performed during the closing Ceremony of the Winter Olympics. their song "Growl" is called the unofficial anthem of Korea. EXO also holds the world record for fastest selling concert. EXO started the crop-top and mullet trends. Shinee started the dance practice craze. The blue-toothed, synchronized fan light stick technology also started with EXO.

Welcome back to EXO! For further guides, most go to the excellent Cesar Oh for individual guides and concept guides. As a Aerigom (Kai bias), I prefer Asia's First Love's (Asia's First Love is one of Kai's nicknames due to his popularity) guide to Kai and I expect other EXO-L would be able to point you to other individual guides. They are all extremely talented, verging on the sickeningly so, and definitely get a lot of backlash in part because of this. They have not really been pushed in the West, causing many to think that they are not as good as others, but to me 'good' is down in this sense to personal preference. In Asia, they are still huge despite being on hiatus. They are still called The Nation's Pick and the Powerhouse of Kpop for a reason. Individually, D.O. is more loved by non fans because of his acting, whereas Chen and Chanyeol have had problems because of their private lives. Conversely, although fans hated Kai's relationship with Crystal, his dating Jennie was quite popular and many hope they will get together again. Personally, I don't mind about their private lives, but it is part of being an Idol rather than a Star. For non-fans, though, the fact that Kai's nicknames include the Idol of Idols (because he is so popular and looked up to by his peers), and Beakhyun is called the Genius Idol (because of how talented and successful he is) seems to lead to some conflict, especially with non Asian fans as they don't think they can be as popular as they are. Sehun, for example is HUGE in China, but that does not reflect in the West. Being the Vocal Kings of Kpop is also unjustifiably contested as those that do not follow them accuse them of lip-syncing. It is a shame that this all distracts from talent in Kpop, but I thought I'd put it out there as you will see it, you probably already have. There is so much extraordinary talent and so many truly charming people in Kpop, there is room for many devoted fandoms. You can choose any EXO song, everything is good, but there is a huge variety of genres. If you ant something rocky, try Drop That, if you want something more vocal based try Sweet Lies, for a bop try Call me Baby, for something different try Wolf or Overdose.

Thank you for all the information. It's a shame that EXO isn't more popular in the west. They have some great songs that I immediately fell in love with at first listen.

As far as its known, Xiumin, Baekhyun & Kai have their own place. EXO's dormitory is still there being used. One of Suho's recent vlogs (after he returned from military) showed him making a bagel sandwich in the dorm's kitchen.

Soooo glad you are getting more into EXO…they are my #1 favorite kpop group! Baekhyun being my vocalist in all of kpop! Only Kai and Sehun still need to do military service! Any EXO is worth reacting to..but their live stages are outstanding. Check out Baekhyun second album “Bambi” a no skip..and you’ll be amazed at his vocal range in song, ALL I GOT! Baekhyun is also great in Super M!

Do Kyungsoo is just incredible in every sense. He is one of the few vocalists who can make your heart flutter and cause a storm of emotions. He manages his deep voice and sweet timbre with such ease that the same part can sound completely different "starting very roughly and ending unrealistically gently". I just love how Kyungsoo dances absolutely every movement of his, and in absolutely any choreography so smooth and gentle that it seems as if he does not make any effort everything happens so naturally, of course, he is given such plasticity by nature. Don’t be too confused with Sehun, he’s the Maknae on Top in his group. He says jump and his members ask how high, especially Suho😂 I believe they still own their dorm room where they use it as an in between place definitely when having comebacks or busy schedules.

So excited for more EXO reactions! Variety shows I'd recommend to check out are 'EXO's Ladder season 2' (more recent) and 'EXO Showtime' (way back around debut)

there are probably a lot of people recommending the individual guide by cesar oh and i also recommend those as well. since those guides are quite detailed, it’s good to get into those guides to start with to get to know them better. it does contains a lot of their songs, so it’s possible that there are a lot of the songs that you have never heard yet.

Oh yeah. I just watched the first member guide. Plenty of songs in there I don't know, but when I do get around to listening to the full songs my only response will probably be: I feel like I've heard this before.

I sincerely do not understand and probably will never understand why many people underestimate Chanyeol so much in recent years he has made a huge breakthrough in dancing, but since the day of his debut he has not lagged behind the rest of the members because there should be harmony and synchronicity in the group. Chanyeol has an incredible charisma that manifests itself even more during the dance, especially if the song and choreography perfectly suits him, including the mood. Just FYI: Xiumin is pronounced like Shoe-min or Shoo-min, X in Chinese is pronounced like the sh sound in English (Not a z sound). Even though Kim MinSeok is Korean, he was given a Chinese stage name because he is one of the two Korean members of EXO-M, so it was meant to help him relate better with their Chinese audience. (But you probably know that now since I see you have also watched their individual guides. :D) Almost all Kpop groups live together for the first several years after debut and many even live together as trainees. But the clip of Xiumin cleaning the room was not in EXO's dorm. That clip was from a reality TV show called Homebodies where a group of Idols and actors from all different companies lived together for a week or so as part of a TV show. Xiumin and Kang Daniel were roommates on the show and Kang Daniel is kind of messy and a lot younger than Xiumin, so Xiumin was cleaning up after him. LOL They were staying in a house that was rented by the TV show so they had mattresses on the floor because there were more people staying there then the house had beds. However, you also have to keep in mind that they are Asian, and traditionally many Asian cultures don't use beds. It's common to see mattresses on the floor to sleep on. Many older generation Koreans don't have beds, they just have a mattresses that they store folded up in the closet along with the comforter and pillow, that they pull out when they want to sleep. One of the reasons for this is many traditional houses don't have a lot of rooms, so they don't have designated spaces where they only sleep. Their bedrooms are also their living spaces, so they have to pick up their beds in order to have space to work and live, etc. (Although this is not the case with that clip of Xiumin. Their beds were on the floor because it was a temporary living arrangement.) Yes, the EXO members don't still live together. They debuted in 2012 -- this year is their 11th anniversary -- and they now are all 28-33 and are very rich, so they can afford to buy their own homes and apartments. Idols live together when they are first starting out because their company pays for their living expenses and dorm moms hired by the company take care of them. Plus it is a good way to make sure the group becomes really close and starts forming bonds to make them a tight group. It usually takes several years for them to start to earn enough money to pay back their debts they incur while they are trainees and to save up money to live on their own. For example, most of the NCT members still live together in SM's dorms even after more than 6 years after debut. (However, some choose to still live in the dorms long after they can afford to move out because it's more convent and they like living together, but most move out and live on their own at some point in their career.) Also, that clip of Suho in what looked like a courtroom, when you were reading the dialogue on the screen, did you realize that those were lines he was reciting as a character in a drama, not something he was saying himself? I wasn't sure you realized that clip was supposed to be showing you an example of his acting. (The way you said, "OK, I agree with him," made me think maybe you thought that was him speaking, not his character.) Yes, you will discover that all the members of EXO are actors, and most of them have starred in K-dramas and movies and/or are stage actors. Promoting as a group only takes up a few weeks a year, so in order to fill their time and continue to make money all Idols have side projects, which means most idols also spend time as actors, models, Radio DJs, authors, music producers, songwriters, regular/main cast members on variety shows, etc. Their side projects also are part of their cross promotions as idols. Someone who doesn't know them may watch them in a drama or movie or as a model, etc., which leads to them discovering their group and music, or the person my be a fan of them as a singer and this makes them want to watch their movie or drama, etc. it's all about getting their name and face out there in as many ways as possible in order to drive sales and viewership of everything they are involved in. That clip of Chanyeol singing "Creep" was on the TV show JYP Party People, so the reason why you saw JYP was because he was the host of the show. It wasn't a random appearance. You will see many clips from that show in these guides. JYP Party People was a show that JYP hosted for a year where he would invite singers and groups on his show, who most of the time were not members of his company, and they would just hang out and talk and perform, etc. Kind of like an intimate small club or bar concert event. It was pretty much a way for JYP to hang out and get to know people and groups that he thought were cool. Sehun's yellow gloves are Louis Vuitton brand. As you saw, he is a Louis Vuitton model. Those gloves are an iconic part of EXO-SC's "What A Life" MV and they cost more than most people's entire outfit. LOL As a testament to Sehun's and EXO's trending power, those gloves sold out really fast after the MV was released. The clip of him performing was a comeback stage performance for "What A Life" so he was wearing an outfit from the MV. The reason why they mentioned Sehun's reality mystery show was because it IS available internationally. Just search for it and you will see "Busted" is available in the U.S. And just because you saw Sehun as a tough guy in an acting role where he was required to act tough, does not mean he is a "tough guy" in real life. That's like saying an actor who plays a serial killer in a movie must be a sociopath in real life. If you are a good actor, you can play any role, even if it is nothing like your real personality. Keep in mind that in all of these guides this is just a small example of what they can do as an introduction to them. You heard only a small snippet of Suho singing and you said "He must have a higher tone voice," which is kind of true, but that is not all he does. And then you heard Lay rap and you said, "he has a lazy style rap," which, for that song that's the style he used, but it's not the only style of rap he does. Lay is an all arounder so he can literally do all styles of singing and rap. (Lay's high note I believe was during a Chinese New Year celebration in China, so yes it was a traditional Chinese song.) Right now, all the members who were in the military have all returned and they will be having a comeback later this year as a full group. However, Kai and Sehun, who are the maknaes of the group, have yet to enlist, and they most likely will be enlisting by the end of the year. Cosmic Latte is actually grayish-tan like coffee, hence why it has Latte in it's name. EXO's fandom color was chosen because it's the color that is said to be the color that is created when you combine all the colors of the stars in the universe. EXO are otherworldly beings, so everything is designed around that concept.

He always shared his schedule to fans through bubble because he has no sns, sharing many recipes he likes because he loves cooking and a certified chef too. U can see his true side from Off The Grid (a solo variety show) or his latest variety show, No Math School Trip on kocowa.

If not for the fan culture which is a huge factor to these idols dating, we would have so many of these idols having healthy public relationships but it starts off as a secret then one way or another they will be outed somehow when they dont want to...taeyeon's bandmate sooyoung has been dating for 10 years now with her boyfriend and that itself is a record considering she's an idol but i guess fans were able to accept it cause he is an actor not an idol, mostly idol with idol relationships especially popular idols most of the time fans will have death threats ready for them...even chen's marriage fans were burning his photos just because he is getting married and is going to have a child but here we are and he is still a part of exo and we're proud he was able to overcome those stressful times, now we have the group together this year cant wait for their comeback and thank you for the reaction 🥰

I don’t think any of the members should be considered sub anything! There is a so-called “beagle” line made up of Chen, Baekyun, and Chanyeol because they are so loud. Also Chen, Baekyun, and DO are all belters. Chen is the rocker, but is also a major belter. And beautiful ballad singer. DO is the growler plus does ad libs and runs. He’s the R&B singer. Baekyun, I guess would be considered the most Pop-y singer, but he can move me to tears with many of his more ballady songs. Check out “Rain” and “Paper Cuts.” I’ve enjoyed EXO Arcade which is the members forming teams and engaging in competitions. Their appearances on Knowing Brothers are always hysterical. Caesar Oh has a good guide, but might not be up to date. Being caught dating is considered a scandal. You can imagine when Chen announced his upcoming marriage and baby, the uproar. Some of the more childish fans thought he had betrayed them, and demanded that he drop out of EXO. There were even threats. Instead of dropping out, Chen went to the military and he and his had a second daughter. Thankfully, the majority of EXO-Ls got behind him.
