Diving Ingraham Street Bridge | Wreck Alley | San Diego | California

Спорт

I can't believe it took me so long to finally dive this site. I LOVED it! lots of interesting structure and life plus its not that deep so you get longer bottom times. I highly recommend this site. It would be a perfect second dive after the Yukon.
Correction: the fish at 2:05 was a Pile Perch, not a Sargo. They look similar but I was mistaken.
Filmed on a Sony A6600 with underwater white balance, 1080p @ 60fps and no picture profile. The white balance seemed to be shifting throughout the dive so I need to figure that out. The video was edited in DaVinci Resolve.

I am not an expert or a dive professional. I don't know all the hazards that exist for a particular dive. I create these videos for informational purposes only and you should not use them your sole source of information on this subject. Some of my information may be incorrect. Conditions can change from hour to hour and whats safe at the beginning of your dive may be hazardous when you finish. Talk to lifeguards, use other resources and most importantly, dive within your level of training and your skills/abilities. Just because a dive looks easy doesn't mean it is, or that its even safe. People have lost their lives diving here so make sure diving within your limits.

I used to catch huge sand bass on that thing at night from my kayak. Some good sheep and even WSB can be present as well..

This is really cool! I’ve never heard of this wreck before despite living in SD for my entire life up until a few months ago. So amazing how the bridge was able to be turned into something beautiful

The first time I heard someone mention diving Ingraham Street bridge I assumed they were diving around the current bridge in the bay. haha.

Hello I am coming to SD in like 2.5 weeks to dive. Pretty much coming down because of your videos. My brother is a DIT graduate and a Instructor, I am just a Rescue diver. But anyways can you recommend a good local scuba shop for air etc. Looking forward to your answer, thanks.

The main boat charters in town are Marissa Charters and Waterhorse--both are great! As far as dive shops there's a few options. La Jolla Dive is the closest shop to the 2 main shore diving locations (La Jolla Shores and La Jolla Cove) Its a small 'shop' located in an alley. Its really just a rental spot for gear and air fills. They also offer guided dives. The other larger shops I use are San Diego Divers, the workers can be a bit gritty but they know their stuff. If you want a friendly smile and larger gear selection try Oceans Enterprises or House of Scuba but by far, San Diego Divers will get you the fastest fills around--assuming you're bringing your own tanks.

That dive looks awesome! I've dove most the wreck sites out there but never even heard of this one. I wonder why the boat charters I've been on don't have trips there? Also I spotted a Spanish Shawl nudibranch at 1:59 on the bottom left side of the pillar you're swimming over. I'm obsessed with nudibranchs lol.

@@darkburnstar9269 yeah it's funny cause I think like the next day after I posted my comment I saw Waterhorse announced they were going to start going to the bridge and the El ray wreck. Since then I was able to do a Waterhorse charter to the bridge and it was awesome! Can't wait to explore it some more.
