Diving highlights from our outer Great Barrier Reef trip
Most of our diving is on inshore fringing reefs where the underwater visibility is often not very good so it was fantastic to spend a week on clear outer reefs. My last three videos have documented this trip but for those that are really into diving I thought I'd get together the diving highlights from this trip in one video. This concentrates on the front reef habitat where the water is clearer and the coral richer. If you have already watched the last three videos there is not much that is new but the best diving bits are all here in one place.

I've seen people saying the reef isnt dying (we've all been told it is) and its really healthy, but only seeing this video of how healthy and vibrant it is really brings it home.

The corals look so much better than what I would have expected. Saw magnificent sections of the Great Barrier Reef in the Ribbon reefs area in 2009. But had assumed that most of that had greatly deteriorated. What you've posted here looks to be rather healthy coral overall and I hope it is indicative of the quality of coral on the GBR for the future.
