    Great Video! Thanks for catching the Stuka in action. This is my favorite plane in my fleet and It ALWAYS turns heads no matter where she flys at! If anyone has any questions about her, please comment below :)

    Cannot lie, I'm 57 and as a kid I think most of us dreamed of something like this...and there was that Cox big black Stuka always beckoning us. The first BIG model I ever built was the 1/24 MPC packaged Stuka. (Cost me a whopping $6.99 in 1977)

    Very nice Chris, thanks for sharing. The Stukas were menacing with those sirens, until the Spitfires and Hurricanes showed up!

    I've seen a couple of Phoenix models well made and very detailed with weathering. They're also a nonexpensive way to buy a large-scale plane. Great video Chris✌️

    @@andystoybox1723 Top RC has some nice ones but a little more expensive but you can run 5 radial engine in these. Some I'd run a inline motor like Spitfire and P51.

    Absolutely AWESOME video Chris! An amazing model of an iconic aircraft, and expertly piloted as well! I have to agree with Adam's comments; the Stuka was a hugely successful weapon against an unsuspecting enemy, but when flown in skies dominated by well trained pilots flying first rate fighters, it was sorely outmatched and shot down in droves. Thanks for sharing!

    Right?! A friend who recently passed away of mine lived in London during all of that as a young kid. He most vividly remembered the buzz bombs. He said it was when the motor stopped was when you knew you immediately had to take cover.

    One of my favorite planes. Couple questions though, the engine noise is too loud for the effectiveness of the siren. Are there mufflers possible to quiet it just a bit. Also the pitch of the siren is far too high when compared to the real thing. I’m guessing the scale of the siren has to do with that. Deeper pitch, would that mean a larger scale siren?.

    I put a dive siren on mine as well but I am flying all electric so it's hidden where the radiator would have been on the real bird. I just wish mine looked as good with his custom paint and weathering. lol

    Too bad a real siren doesn't sound like the original Stuka. A speaker system is needed to replicate the true sound, maybe not the loudness.

  • @toolbaggers

    @toolbaggers

    It's akin to having an 'authentic sounding' single cylinder, 2-stroke nitro engine 'replicating' the sound of a 28 cylinder radial monster when an electric bird with a sound system sounds much more accurate.

  • @StevesRC

    Very true, but its the closest I could get and LOUDEST siren I've heard in the RC world for a stuka. Designing it took several iterations to get the tone and decibel level where it is today.
