The fact that cops do this doesn't piss me off that much. The fact they won't hold each other accountable, and will never admit when they're wrong or apologize for it is what really grinds my gears.

I know it’s 6 months ago but this is one my favorite videos you’ve made. The female cop is too young proud and stubborn to realize the weight of her job and the importance of learning from her mistakes. The second sargeant redeemed himself and the smithereens(lol) was awesome. It was like he wanted you to win that argument. He knew you were right. Great job! I love this one

You are so right. They just don’t want to hear it when they are wrong. They presume things in their minds and think they can enforce their feelings and the most pathetic part is they are law enforcement that doesn’t know the law.

Arguing with a cop is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the bird is going to knock over the pieces, crap over the board. Then strut around thinking that he won.

Hi, I have so much respect for you and I’m addicted to watching your videos! I’m going to be 65 years old next month and if I could get into doing something like what you’re doing, I would do it. I get so excited to see what happens next because I hate people who are taking advantage of and treated like crap just like so many other people. Kudos to that police officer who read you the actual complaint off his computer in the patrol car. He was awesome. Really hope he can be an example for those egomaniac cops who surrounded you ready to arrest you for taking pictures. That young female officer who detained you needs more training ASAP.

You and AP (and son) are, in my opinion, the calmest most articulate auditors on KZread. Plus you're the best at shutting people down in the most entertaining fashion possible. Great content.

The government should employ bat to teach the cops the law, how to approach the public and to learn and memorise the constitutional amendments. So probably in the future a lot less members of the public wouldn't be getting shot, brutalised or killed by them. Remove their qualified immunity and get rid of police unions and see the magic happen.

Britain has a couple of clever lads. AB, and Focus Pocus(,in no particular order).

She kept saying "they felt harassed" so she detained you for "Harassment" just because someone 'Felt' harassed (feelings enforcement) Doesn't mean it adds up to actual harassment. She also admitted during the detainment at the 7 min 59 sec mark, that she didn't know what you had done, which implies she never had 'Reasonable Articulable Suspicion of any Crime'. They are poorly trained and they get away with bad unconstitutional policing all day but it's partly the fault of Americans today that don't know their rights and don't hold public servants accountable. Remember the forefathers said, "you have a republic if you can keep it' and they also stressed that "the public needed to be well educated on their rights" which today they are not. Great Video!

if a formal complaint is filed it's actually very likely it would be sustained. She's young (no seniority), it was an illegal detainment and she fabricated calls that she cited ON CAMERA to manufacture RAS. If this went to civil court BAT would win, but courts rarely pay out monetary damages that make doing all that worth it. What's the repercussion for the officer for a complaint here? Probably nothing except it going in her file -- but officers get twitchy as hell about ANYTHING being in there file, so that's still a victory.

Actually his interpretation of 148g is wrong, it deals with recording police and cannot be deemed suspicious and grounds for a detainment. They didn't detain him for recording them in the performance of their duties, they detained him due to the call. Which was still wrong because investigating the call is fine, but they could only ask if he would like to talk to them about the concern for the call.

Excellent interaction. You could make a living training auditors and citizens on their rights. Awesome!

This is amazing......like they way you conduct your audits.....

They also need to train the people who answer the phones, the dispatchers, who need to ask the right questions. Is he on public property? is he simply filming? He can film anything he can see from public property, etc. Let the dispatchers take 2 minutes to educate the caller, then send NO cops to the scene of NO crime.

Agreed, it would go a long way to stopping these unnecessary encounters. But, then the officers would lose the "we got a call." pretext for the articulable suspicion to ask for ID. If all you have is a fail to ID based on a Constitutionaly protected 1st Ammendment activity, you don't have a crime. Depatment policy, state law, nor city ordinance don't trump the Bill of Rights. So easy, even a caveman can do it!

Absolutely agree. Many auditors publish the call. Dispatcher painstakingly get callers name, and number, address, physical description, armed or not, and so on. ZERO questions on digging out an actual crime. Usually nothing. Then cops show up 5 deep for nothing and the chief is crying for more manpower. Educate the dang dispatcher.

Also, the officer said the call was a "9" call which means a "distress" call. The police should (educate) reprimand the caller that a person recording on public property is NOT a distress call and IS an abuse of the "9" system and is subject to fine or other legal punishment
