@@deathmachinexxlplayz8531 For the same reasons any other professional athlete makes mistakes in a live match. Singing is a physical endeavor that requires an oftentimes absurd degree of control over breath, muscle and body positioning, and there is SO MUCH SHIT that can fuck it up easily: eating too early or not enough, eating the wrong foods, not getting enough sleep, illness, alcohol, age, and the ever-present acid-reflux which is disproportionately higher in singers due do how the intake of breath needed shifts all your organs around. As an aside, David's esophageal sphincter muscle has also been completely eroded away, so basically every time he lies down his cords are liable to get a stomach acid spa day. Frankly, I'm amazed at what he can still do. Did I mention he also had a tumor removed recently?

@@Raiden4019 I wasn't saying it as an insult i fuckin love disturbed and david is extremely talented it just seems weird that this particular live performance was noticeably better than normal. @Raiden4019

@@deathmachinexxlplayz8531 No insult was presumed, merely ignorance of the factors that influence the outcome of a performance. Whenever I go to a live show, ANY live show, I try to take into account how far into a tour the performer is and what stop I am attending on. Generally speaking, the farther into a tour you get, the more likely the performer is going to be fighting back a series of, and please pardon the gamer lingo, "stacking debuffs" that are gonna be at play. The highlight reel performances, like this one, have equally as many factors going in their favor. Maybe this day was just a special day that had the right combination of proper warm-up, rest, technical execution, and spiritual motivation behind it to give it that extra "oomph."
This Band has carried me through every trial and tribulation in my life, from divorce(s), losing a child to cancer, and the struggles with the maniacal way in which the entire world operates (on the edge of destruction, it often feels). Now, recently, as an Christian-American, I find myself in a place caught between terror, guilt, and unspeakable pain for the Jewish people and for Israel. I've prayed for and will continue to pray for Israel, but tonight- I remembered this song - And when I searched for it, I found this live performance in Tel Aviv, a month before the attacks on Israel started. I shared it to my social media to amplify the message as much as I can: NEVER AGAIN!
Love Disturbed and all they stand for!! Fan for Life!

I've really come to appreciate this band especially after seeing this video and song. When I watch their video of "Sounds of Silence' I got the distinct impression that it was about Israel and Biblical times. Now it's obvious to me his intent. I was watching a list of videos about the horrors of October 7th 2023. All of a sudden the song and video for Sounds of Silence came on and it was not in my queue! God bless!

Thank you for 24 years of years of music.
so fitting for right now... I was at that concert, it was amazing! this song is amazing!
Basicly if you listen closely enough. David is speaking about each and every one of us. We as a world not just a nation need to stand our ground and say never again. But the holicost is a prime example of the strength of human resilience to push back and continue to grow and learn. We need to make sure we teach everything to our kids so they may never make the same mistakes and repeat history. And teach them to stand there ground for what is right.

Man Asylum was such a good album. Not a single bad song on that record. The memories I have of listening to all of Disturbed's records, especially Asylum while playing OG Doom is something I will never forget.
As a israeli, that was at the show, I have to say, that in real life, it felt like nothing else, to see David and Disturbed, preforming this song and really giving it their souls, not only becouse it was ther song, but also becouse they do care. I dont know how to explain it. Its somthin you have to feel with your soul and heart לעולם לא עוד... עם ישראל חי...
As an Orthodox convert, I shout with you, NEVER AGAIN!!!
blimey, what a remarkable tribute! playing a tune penned for the Holocaust in Tel Aviv has left us speechless - _"Believe me, never again"_ 🙇 tremendously valiant, D. Draiman!

Incredible performance! Thanks for sharing. The lyrics: They have a frightening desire for genocide They wouldn't stop till what what was left of my family died Hell-bent on taking over the world You couldn't hide in the shout of conformity We can't forget how we were devastated by the beast And how we pleaded with the captors for release We were hunted for no reason at all One of the darkest times in our history All that I have left inside Is a soul that's filled with pride I tell you never again, oh In a brave society Didn't end up killing me Scream with me, never again Not again A generation that was persecuted endlessly Exterminated by the Nazi war machine We will remember, let the story be told To realize how we lost our humanity You dare to tell me that there never was a Holocaust You think that history will leave the memory lost Another Hitler using fear to control You're gonna fail this time for the world to see All that I have left inside Is a soul that's filled with pride I tell you never again, oh In a brave society Didn't end up, killing me Scream with me, never again Not again All that I have left inside Is a soul that's filled with pride I tell you never again, oh In a brave society Didn't end up killing me Scream with me, never again, oh For the countless souls who died Their voices fill this night Sing with me, never again They aren't lost, you see The truth will live in me Believe me, never again
