I’m pretty confident in saying that Dissidia is one of the extremely rare fighting games that actually has a good story mode. A genre infamous for half-assed story modes.

@@KaganeInugami Dissidia Opera Omnia is basically what NT could have been, sans the actual gameplay. What i mean is, if you gave Opera Omnia the playstyle of NT, it would be amazing, because, for the most part, the story itself is amazing. NT’s biggest issue was its aversion to story content, and that’s pretty disappointing.

Sure but whats wrong with that while you have some amazings scene's, great voice acting and memoral moments. Nt only memoral moment was the shantatto vs ultimicia roast. that's it.

It's so strange to see these characters so...vulnerable. Like you've seen them get KO'd in battle in their own games a dozen times but in Dissidia, you could actually feel a limit to their strength; that they were getting more and more tired as the battles continued to come one right after another. It made them seem human. Yet they fought literally until the end even though they knew what would happen. People can say what they want about this game but Dissidia definitely added a "human" element to not only the storyline but to the characters themselves.

Do you two additional comments not play duodecim? It was suggested that to fight Manikins and fail was a fate you can't come back from....hence the additional cast to duodecim not being in the original since they were the prequel fighters who did that ultimate sacrifice blah blah.

Laguna needs to return to the series, he was great in this one!

"Keeping the Peace" is one of the greatest pieces of Final Fantasy music. So much emotion conveyed in such a short piece. I love the atmosphere of the Dissidia games. So beautifully melancholy.

The like the humor between Vaan/Kefka regarding Terra, and the humor between Laguna/Cloud of Darkness.

Lmao so glad they remembered lagunas Legg cramps up when he's around somone he thinks is extremely pretty

I Love the sense of humor in this game, alot of other games lack this now these days

We need more fully voice-acted characters from FF I-IX.

Thank you for taking the time to upload these cutscenes. I read some of the older comments that mention Cloud's scenes are not completely present in the video, but that is okay. Being fairly new to the Dissidia games on PSP, I am joyous to finally make time to watch this. I hope Square Enix will one day port these games to current consoles so that new and current fans to play this.

I think the reason why Square Enix changed the classic turn-base battle system is to match their realistic 3D characters, ya know, characters can move in a 3D direction, then attacks in a straight line.

You _kind of_ got what you wanted. FF is returning to a classic fantasy theme with FF16, and WoL’s world got another installment in the form of Stranger of Paradise.

I was a bit taken aback seeing Jecht on the side of Cosmos at first, but then I remembered that he was Lord Braska's guardian.

vaan vs kefka was quite a fight. talk about close calls!

The audio in this is only coming out of one ear, occasionally sputtering into the other, when I wear my headphones. Made me worry the thing was damaged XD Then I tested it on another video. Thankful it's just this video and not the headphones...

such a superior experience to NT

012 might not have aged well next to NT, but the character interaction/conflict here really butters my bread. Makes for good binge-watching and I don't have to wreck my controller.

Audio gets really buggy around 1:30:00 only comes out the right earphone for me

1080p. I wish the game were going to come out on PC, then it would be easy to do in 4K. We just ordered a PS4 Pro, which will allow us to play FFXV in 4K, but I'm still not sure how we can record it. There are no mainstream, price reasonable recorders out there to be able to record 4K from consoles. On PC we just used Fraps or Shadowplay

I know now the 012 is the events before Dissia final fantasy because well we saw in the end the warrior in a lake floor just like the started of the first game but how can I find a secret ending

i dont know why they would make this the prequel but if thats the case if you played the first game the intro says all of the warriors perished and only 10 remain so does that mean lighting and the rest we dont see in the first game died? if so it doesnt seem like nobody cares :( still loving seeing all of them together

They dont remember because their memories are wiped each cycle. Except the story goes that Chaos's warriors were allowed to remember and have been getting stronger whereas the warriors of cosmos stayed static and thats where the game starts. So Yuna, Kain, Lightning, Tifa, Vaan and Laguna all did die but that also makes me interested to hear who mighta been in previous cycles. What if, say, Delita from FF tactics was a villain before and was wiped out? Maybe ff16's protag who we dont even know was in one of those cycles. So many cool possibilities.

Well it wouldn't really work for the series since each game is its own universe. I'd definitely do a Final Fantasy VII saga once they release the remake. They have a couple of games in the the FFVII series

@@michaeljames6737 Cloud was actually a warrior of Chaos in this cycle. At the beginning of the cycle, he saved Tifa from Sephiroth (there’s a video of it) and then tried to challenge Chaos alone, but got killed. The other warriors were fighting elsewhere

Not too bad rewatching the old games, though its a shame so few made let's plays. It's a nice story deserves being upgraded to a console game. A good way to show how NT's story is trash in comparison too. Man, just rewatching this makes me hate how badly they botched that game.

The manikins are the only ones whom can fully kill a warrior in Dissidia. Lightning and co. died because they literally fought to their last breath, and expended all of their strength. Since the manikins are a third-party entity in the battle; beings whom were never intended to be a part of it...these six warriors perished in a way that prevented them from being revived for the 13th Cycle.

Yes. It is Christopher Sabat, who voices Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha and I can't recall who else.

after watching all of that, Lighting has got to be the best character to be main character for this game. She is "The Major" of the FF world, hands down. And Sabers edge is the perfect fight song lol

Most of the time, the female protagonist of a particular FF game gets to appear as the 3rd representative of their game in dissidia. It was already quite weird that Laguna appeared here instead of Rinoa from the start
