Islam teaches to be respectful of other holy books especially the Torah and the Ingil (Gospels) as they are also words of God passed to the prophets, just like and equal to the Quran. They are all on the same level - Torah was given by God to Moses, Ingil was given by God to Jesus Christ, and the Quran was recited by God to Muhammad. All three of these prophets including Jesus Christ are believed by Muslims to be prophet. Jesus is one of the most highly respected prophets in Islam, and he is mentioned numerous times in the Quran. In fact his mother, Maryam (Mary) has an entire chapter dedicated to her in the Quran explaining how she miraculously gave birth to Jesus as a virgin. According to the Quran, Muslims are only permitted to marry Muslim women, but with the exception of also being permitted to marry Christian and Jewish women. And the reason is because Christians and Jews are seen as people of the book who are highly respected as they follow at least some of the true holy books of God; and thus, they ultimately believe in the same fundamental beliefs and values as Muslims (God, Prophets, etc.) Moreover it is known in Islam that the closest religion to Islam is Christianity, and it is for this reason as Judaism does not believe in let alone highly respect Jesus Christ as much as Islam. After Christianity, I dont think there is any other religion in the world that believes in Jesus Christ as prophet, and loves him other than Islam.

That is because Putin is Christian and Russia follows the Christian Orthodox faith. You can tell what religion means for them. For a man like him it's impossible to write a complex scripture like the Quran. Second of all the Quran doesn't say that bible is 'liar" or something. Allah sent revelations through many prophets over time.We believe bible, torah etc were revealed by Allah and has been corrupted later, reference (2:75-79) So we don't accept those scriptures. As those scriptures had been corrupted so Allah sent the final and the greatest revelation through prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Allah promised that the last revelation cannot be corrupted. Allah will preserve it till the end. That's what we believe.

I'll take my freedom of speech... Although I chose not to disrespect peoples religion, like most decent people... I don't want to Government to have the power to compel or censor my speech. Because if you give them that inch they will take Miles of your liberty.
