Just today I was in a Bismarck shooting at another Bismarck about 14km away. They had a sliver of health left and were nearly bow on when my 4 shells arrived. Got a “pitadel” from that one😮🤔

I play since Alpha. I am 100% sure that WG punishes very good players and gives them worse RNG than others. So that all the potatoes have a chance.

Damn, took your advice, took the Hyuga out 17 citadels. I think that is the most citadels I have ever got in one battle. Thanks Peek, nice one mate.

Not a bug - a feature to make you feel better about a new ship - I bought Gorizia and it was great, smacking DDs in caps - now I struggle to hit DDs from 6km - I will try the reset tomorrow

While I have no doubt there are plenty of bugs in this game...using one player's limited games is not a confirmation of anything. It's actually a good example of confirmation bias. If the commanders didn't work then how come reload, rudder, concealment and any other host of measurable commander skills have not changed? If we get detailed stats such as ellipses and max dispersion and then it changes I will go balls to the wall and whole heartedly agree, until that time I cannot agree. RNG sucks but its RNG, I had laser beams from my Musashi the day of the update with you...why didn't it work for me? Did we not think the same thing about the plotting room on the Iowa and that was confirmed false by Tommy?

I think it’s a concern that warrants more testing. Knowing wg, I could see a scenario where something ticks off and resets all inspirations. I mean all games have bugs after updates, and seeing how we don’t have detailed stats or training rooms, it’s hard to see a clear cut difference.

@@kristopher4746 I fully believe there are problems in this game and have said on numerous occasions part of the reason we don’t have training rooms is because we would discover so many bugs or inconsistencies but playing one game and labeling that as bug confirmed is highly irresponsible

All I can say is I did this on my Montana build which I had already a dispersion build but felt something happened as well. After I reset, 40k on Yamato damage, Dev struck Worcester and just destroyed health on other ships. Made me love my Montana again. In my mind? Like peek said. I can count.

Did it on my commanders and voila, all is wel again and even no more trolling with the max range on my cruisers, that changed on my American cruisers mid game The fun is back 👍😁

Training rooms would be a great way to test this in a controlled environment to a bow tanking ship. *15k distance *X amount of salvos, let's say 20 salvos. *20 training room games. Then you have a control, then reset the commanders and do the same again to see how many hits on target.

you do realise training rooms is just gonna be random battles without an economy... now if you had an indestructible ship parked somewhere to test firing angles and citadel hits that truely would be a training room... but thats not what were getting dont be so naive. the only way you *may* be able to do what your stating is with a custom built group of 18 friends in one match all being "friendly" to set up said firing angles. Training rooms are gonna be a crap show from wargaming, yes we need training rooms, but wargamming arent giving us what we asked for, it all sounds like random battles without economy and thats it. (i hope im wrong but heh)

I am glade someone brought this up. It has been something I have known about since about the first year of playing. I just would avoid talking about it, because I hated dealing with the people who would cry and complain how it isn't true. The only reason why I found out about it, is because I am one of those players that refuse to follow what everyone else will do. Thanks for trimming out the 30 seconds between shots, it helps see the difference between each shot.

I agree 100 percent peek it happened to me when kii was never accurate then 1 whole update I was getting citadels om yammy and dev strikes left and right.then after that 1 update it was a shot gun again. Great video peek👍

Lmao it's about time people started figuring this out. I left a comment on one of Arons vids/streams about the explanation/ behind this a few weeks agi but i've been onto this for 2 years give or take. Simple explanation is this. The are more dice rolls going on behind the curtains than what they would have us believe. Oh yeah also if you do the math and have one of those circle making tools you had for trigonometry and stuff. You can pretty just calculate just how bad your dispersion can be and what to expect from it.

I'm not saying this is confirmed. But I just tried resetting Sims on my Kansas and first match out 2 dev strikes and 6 citadels, against bbs and cruisers, more citadels than I've gotten in all my battleships combined in a week (I'm usually lucky if I see one a game. I had thought they nerfed bb cit chances a couple updates ago). Only one salvo resulted in 4 overpens against a Cleveland and I might have overlead him. I'm curious to try this on Yamato next.

I accidentally did the commander build switching on the kansas, and I noticed that I had the one of the best games in a battleship, never payed attention really until like the 5or6 th. Game in kansas when it stopped hitting targets

I always knew they were something funny about this because if you do an accuracy build with Georgia it’s not that great but when I took it off and did a different build inspect into the damage it was more accurate than I remember it being, my theory is too much accuracy build overcompensates into the numbers of RNG and you need to find a fine balance for whatever ship you’re playing with

I had a epic booster on massachusetts after an update awhile ago. shells were everywhere, took off the epic booster and it was laser.

I've got the same 42% main gun accuracy stat on my secondary build Bismark I'm 100% convinced there is a hidden potato saving tilt throttle RNG Some games are Gucci, but others I get multiple 0 damage pens or go 0/8 or 2/16 with overpens and ricochet on broadsides All while getting chunked by other ships for 8+k every salvo ... not to mention the horrible secondary dispersion for the little damage output they do

I tryed it on 2 ships Alabama and Riga and for me playing 10 games back to back I did not notice any differense but I cant confirm anything becaus of the stupid RNG level we have in this game .I have noticed the RNG is way worse then 1 year ago.This is normal WG policy it happened in the WOT game on consol after 3 years to.WG cant be trusted because they have so many hidden stats and even if we get some more stats there will always hide what is actually important cause that is secret.the crazy thing is that playing both WOT and WOW on PC is a complete other story more balance and more transperency towards the player base except for the debacle with the CC,s over there a year ago that was crazy.I dont think they ever will fix the buggs in the game and that is because same as with WOT on console .WG needs to write a brand new coding for it to work ,over time any code will get compromiced due to fixes and uppdates that leave traces of bad code behind that cant be fixed whithout a total rework and start over.I do beilive they did that on WOT conole 2021.

Not sure if the switching thing works, but i do know that ships seem to get worse over time ... When its new its accurate as fork and after a while you cant get anywhere near that accuracy you once had

I have run a brawling commander on my tirpitz since I got it years ago and I consistently get great dispersion with it. Much better than I would with a dispersion Bismarck. 🤷‍♀️

Update: it’s really working

It sounds like grinding a second commander resets the captain skills, then refreshes the cache for RNG. IDK, but I'll try it on my Nagato on PC. They screwed everything so sideways, it took 3 times as long to finish grinding as everything else I have. I have 64 ships total, and most BB's suck worse and worse with each patch. GL and GG!!

Do you have to do it to each ship? Or if you reset it on one, does it apply to all the ships that commander is on? For example resetting Sims on Iowa, then also improvement on Sims with Montana, or do you think this has to be done with every ship? I don’t have a ouch commander XP for the later LOL.

ill test it out, but im pretty sure the dispersion is linked to your winrate either in that particular ship or overall, i used to print citadels and not seen many for a long time with ships i've had for a long time.

Ok, this could result in many wasting XP, just to get better dispersion. I run azur lane -dunk- with Sc/cunning as inspritaions on my Ric. Get good dispersion often when looking forward, but not so much with side shots. On USN BB I run sims and same insp and get good disp, but often I get some off shots. It could be weather, seas, map, etc...

I swear this is commanders. I was playing mackensen secondary brawler build and was getting rail guns as a GERMAN BATTLE CRUISER so I decided to switch the commander to a dispersion/accuracy build and the dispersion got worse.

Follow what I did in the video. Swapping out everything and then the base commander. And swapping it all back.

You think it's bad with William sims as your commander try it with out him with American battle ships I have never gotten him in a chest and I'm waiting to get him and saving if I don't ever get him

This game has so many algorithms they tend to butt heads with each other. That's why they reduced commander perks from 25 to 9 perks in WOTs. That's why I don't spend money on WGing games

I’ve never used the accuracy inspirations. Now that BB’s have access to concealment mod I either go full reload or half reload half concealment or full concealment. On the smaller gunned BB’s I’ve started using Jujard and von Essen.

This whole video is pain in so many ways bro. Lmao. And you want to fast for the commander reset thing. So do you just takeoff the inspirations. Put a different commander on. Go back to your older commander, then put the inspiration is back on?

War gaming needs to fix their game

You also need to take into account the incoming dispersion of enemy ships. Camo grade 4 + concealment mod is +9,5% in dispersion, plus there are commanders with skills that can add up to it. Now if you are firing at someone with just Camo grade 4 and your next target is player with full anti-dispersion build, your shells will behave differently. Lucky for us training rooms are coming soon so we should be able to test it out properly.

Can someone explain to me how to reset the commander? I’m just making sure I understand it…. So you take the accuracy commander like Sims or Hipper and then you take off inspirations of Cunningham, Scharnhorst, and equip new ones. Then after that you revert them back to the originals and that constitutes resetting? Thanks in advance for the responses.

@@letumpeek so I did this on Otto ciliax, the worst game I’ve ever had with the GK. Then I tied it on Takagi for Yamato, 200k. I usually score anywhere between 100k-250k with those BB. I do use Von Hipper as of late and he working good but Otto use to be great! Can you try on the German bb commanders?

So this trick works for like 5 games and then you have to reset your commander again?

So are you saying inspirations don't work after an update and you have to reset them? And it only applies to grouping and dispersion? It's not like my speed or rudder shift inspirations don't apply after an update. You also need to take into account what the opposing player builds are. Especially when shooting at American cruisers like you were with in the musashi. If that player is using monteplier and is specing for incoming fire dispersion, then it trumps all your accuracy perks you put on your BB. And with concealment mod for BBs that got added, now that's an extra 5 % of dispersion you lose too. I think there are too many variables to definitively say this is a bug.

Dispersion is the main stat based on RNG. Rudder, ect are fixed bonuses.

This is something that annoys me about people: how they can make a big deal out of something, waste so much time and effort, because they managed to miss a simple detail in the claim. If dispersion is a range based on RNG the RANGE is fixed, the value is not, thus dispersion is not a fixed stat (like rudder shift is), its a variable within a range which, if this glitch is real, effects.

@@IPeakedAt15 Incorrect, dispersion's range is fixed (and that range varies by ship), dispersion's value, the actual figure, the actual thing that governs where the shells go (in relation to where you aim), is not. This is ment to simulate the real world variations in "spead" on naval artilary. It's based on RNG. And this glitch allegedly effects RNG, meaning it effects how likely you are to get a favorable "roll" of the rng dice resulting in lower dispersion. Dispersion, itself, is a variable, not a fixed state. Only the range or limits are of the variable are fixed. This is why, no matter how much dispersion buffs you throw at most German bb's your dispersion will still not be as good as some of the American bbs, your just giving yourself a better chance of getting the better dispersion range for that specific ship. In other words, it's a bit like having a random number generator but limiting the possible numbers to between 1 and 50 or 1 and 75 or 20 to 80 or 50 to 75, depending on the ship. The range is fixed in each of those examples, what number is rolled is not.

Sorry for my English. Example: I play in AI, I choose the Bayer level V, commander Cyliax, I shoot a stone perpendicular to my ship at 10Km 2 times. 1 bullet out of 10 hits where I shoot, the shots are very scattered, second AI battle with Bayer commander Hipper shot twice at a stone perpendicular to my ship at 10 km there is more dispersion than Cyliax, how is it possible? Hipper has less dispersion than Cyliax. Explanation?

The question is about rng, is there a bug that effects the odds of the % of dispersion in each salvo that resetting fixes? No one is arguing this makes or should make your shells have zero dispersion, just have better "luck" resulting in more shells landing where you aim them.

I think this game is fked up.. I bought Iowa last week, on PS5, and until now I won only 2 games out of 30.. I can't hit anything... perfect shot in another Iowa broadside, no hits or only overpins.. Same goes for musashi, shot an alaska point blank at 5km, got only one hit from a fullsalvo... I think i will delete this game, since it's full of noobs and people that don't know how to play, and only it's full of bugs and crap. I regret only the time I've invested in this game on PS5, but it's not worth anymore to play it.

Putting it simply, this is not how to fix this. There is no fixing this on our side. Only wargaming can fix this. “Switching skills and then switching back fix” doesn’t work. It’s a placebo effect. You believe it’s working and it’s actually not. This isn’t a fix, please stop spreading false information. It’s not good. You already got hit one time for it (not just that but it was still a part of it). So again it’s a placebo. It’s not actually true. It’s not even how that works. Ships don’t get less accurate unless they are nerfed. You’re just playing other ships, not playing that certain ship, then when you do play that certain ship it may feel less accurate. And no I’m not saying the shells falling short bug doesn’t exist. It very much does. But this isn’t a remedy for it.

Ships have not been shadow nerfed to hell... its just anti-despersion builds are meta right now especially since now all classes can have access to concealment mod which adds plus 5 or 10 incoming desperation. Stop with the conspiracies.
