There are a lot of Disney villains that I like & I'm really happy this deck includes some of the maybe more obscure ones. Scar, Prince John, Shere Khan, Maleficent, Yzma & Kronk just to name a few of my favorites. However, my absolute favorite is Professor Ratigan from The Great Mouse Detective, voiced by Vincent Price. I was really hoping this deck would include him. Oh well. It's still an awesome looking deck & I'll probably still add it to my ever growing collection. 😅

They are missing Clayton from Tarzan too he would have been the Hanged Man (sorry dark humor) 😅

And I love the Cinderella theme in swords! Perfect!

My favorite Disney villain it's Yzma, and the fact that she's the moon, made the whole deck better for me. Thank you for showing us the deck! I will definitely be getting it :DDD

Aaah, such a lovely deck! When I saw Black Cauldron there I had a tiny bit of hope of maybe seeing Atlantis or Treasure Planet represented somewhere but at this point I'm used to it lol (also not sure where the villains in those movies could fit but they're still my favorites) But overall completely in love and still screaming about Yzma as The Moon.

My favourite Disney villains are Shan-Yu and Frollo who have once again have been ignored😑Shan-Yu is actually a real threat and doesn’t need his army to do work for him. He has them at his disposal but Shan-Yu will absolutely fight you himself. And his army is no nonsense and taken seriously like him. Hades is the exact opposite. Frollo has the best villain song that has or ever will exist. Frollo is also very real and is a character that can exist in real life. Both he and Shan-Yu has actually had a lot of success in their respected goals too

Even though its a fun deck I feel because they are villains some of the upright meanings of the cards don't match especially if you know the character, so using these cards for darker readings like shadow work, inner child work and psyche work would be great

Beautiful. I'm kinda liking this more than the hocus pocus deck, but then again, i don't have them both in my hands yet. eeek!

11:43 I also love this depiction of the five of coins. And the fact that Pride Rock is in the background gives a new spin that there's Hope on the horizon. Like you have to go through a tower moment to get to your victory. Beautifully depicted.

Meet the Robinsons! that’s where the villian for the Hermit is from. Also, The Black Cauldron is so underrated. I remember finding it on vcr when i was like 5 and non stop watched it on repeat. It was a box office bomb so not very well known

I’m a huge Disney fan, this deck is a must for me. My favourite villains are Maleficent and Ursula.

Very nice artwork, great to see characters from old cartoons like Sword in the Stone, Fantasia, Robin Hood and The Rescuers. Shocked that this creator finally did a deck that wasn't pips but, not a big enough Disney fan to pick it up though. Fav villian ever? Maleficent for sure

I don't know how I missed this update, I've been waiting for this to come out and you making a review forever lol I really like the illustrations and design but I think there was enough material for there not to be character repetitions at all or cards without characters, to do something like what Tarot of the Divine has going on with the minors. From the top of my head, I think Honest John could have worked for a minor in the coins (maybe four?) or Governor Ratcliffe, Rourke from Atlantis could have been in the swords (maybe 5?) and so on. Like you, I didn't know what to expect with the minors and had 0 expectations initially, but as you started flipping through, I got my hopes up because the potential was absolutely there. There are more than enough villains and sidekicks for the whole deck to do a Tarot of the Divine situation with the minors, I think, and the art is too good for us to miss iconic characters. Anyway, thank you SO MUCH for this review, it'd be great to see this in a monthly reading and watch it in action! ♥

Missed opportunity with the Two of Cups, especially!

Favorite villains are Ursula, The Evil Queen, Mother Gothel and then to name some very underrated ones The Horned King & Madame Medusa. I ordered this deck, also the Hocus Pocus one. So excited to do reading with them!

Death came out! The card of Scorpio ♏ (my sign) ... how awesome! Hades, yes! (His Roman name is Pluto, which is Scorpio's modern planetary ruler! - The ancient ruler is Mars, representing The Tower card!)

And my two favorite villains are my two favorite tarot cards!

4:49 Its Goob from Meet the Robinsons 😍 Definitely an excellently deserved spot for The Heirphant! We watch Meet the Robinsons and you'll see what I mean. His backstory was immaculately depicted by placing him on this card.

I'm so in love with this deck! So glad the minor arcana are not pip style. It seems like with the minor they got lazy a bit but still a great deck. Can't wait to get it!

My inner child is sad that my father Hades didn't have his own villain song. I love how all the major villain have there rightful place. For most part I agreed with the author some I question and other I didn't know. Why is the Empress Mother Gothel? Hmm Ursula Queen of Cup I think Queen of Coins would also fit.

I love this! I'm most familiar with the older Disney movies, so I would have *loved* to see those Siamese cats! 🖤 Still, this will give me a chance to catch up and watch the more recent ones. You really can't go wrong with Disney! AND Amazon has it on sale -- ordered!

Been considering a new deck for a while and after seeing you mention this one in your Supernatural unboxing had to have a watch of it too. I love the artwork in this- I’m a little disappointed it’s a pips deck as there’s a wealth of Disney villains and accomplices that could’ve been used and cover every single card, or at least have a minimal amount of pips like the Supernatural deck. My favourite Disney film is Road to El Dorado so seeing Kronk and Yzma in the deck is awesome- definitely made my inner child happy, and while Kronk does fit perfectly as the fool card I also want to defend him as not a villain too 🤣 I could see him as the fool on a “heroes” deck too! Ok now I have to decide between this and the Supernatural deck as to which I buy!!!

I agree with you on the art work on the cups cards… the coins also needed a little more .. two of them don’t quite fit in. I do love the art work, box & book but im definitely disappointed with the card stock quality. It’s terrible. Worse than the bootleg ones because at least those cost inexpensive. But for $24 i was expecting a better quality card stock on this deck. Anyway, My fav is Lucifer! 🐈‍⬛

Agree love this deck. some tweaking on the cups will be great. Only down fall for me is the minors are Roman numerals or I’d like to see numbers

So glad I have this deck. Have the Nightmare Before Christmas one and pre-ordered the Disney Alice in Wonderland Tarot. The only downside to this deck is if you haven't seen any of these animated films. The Hermit is the crazy guy from Meet the Robinson's. The Devil would be confusing if you have never seen Fantasia.

Ohh I don’t know which was my favorite! So many. I also thought the cups were a slight meh. My only true criticism was I would hav preferred more information on the villain and a reference to the tale.

Percival McLeach is my favorite. He reminds me of the Sniper From Team Fortress 2

I'm honestly surprised that Judge Frollo wasn't represent. Either way, the deck looks cool and all. I'm glad Chernabog [Fantasia], Hades, Jafar and Scar were represented. If they weren't, I'd be mad u_u. I prefer the look of Nightmare Before Christmas though. Stay safe ^^.

I received this deck yesterday and I’m not mad at it. I’m not that up on Disney villains 🦹🏾‍♀️ aside from Cruella de Vil (my favorite) so some of the card illustrations didn’t make sense to me for the meaning of the card. Overall I like it and have already used it in a reading lol.

Why wasn’t The Empress Yzma? She literally the only Empress in Disney canon! To answer your question, she’s my favourite, so this irritates me 😂

It look really cool, but for beginners like myself it might be hard to interpret the cards since you don't have the usual symbols and scenarios

Love your reviews as always! I feel like this encompasses ALL of Disney not just villains so it’s a really good buy. I’m not a huge Disney fan but this deck is fun. Do you know if there’s any Beauty & The Beast or Sleeping Beauty? Haven’t seen any so far. Seems like a lot of Lion King which I’m not particularly a fan of.

Is the cardstock like the Nightmare Before Xmas Tarot or thinner?

It's interesting (and not surprising since this is a villains deck) but the court cards really reflect the shadow side of each card. You almost never see that in decks. Also I was like Scar has to be the King of Swords so I was happy to see that. They called in the cups and that's very disappointing. Off the top of my head when I saw the 3 of Cups I immediately thought of the mermaids in Peter Pan (plus the suit of cups really focused on Hook) or maybe even the flowers in Alice. I'm still on the fence about this deck. I'll give it time and see how I feel about it down the road.

​@@ellenmariedrummondscurtis My thoughts exactly, I think there are enough villains, sidekicks and villain-related objects to fill a deck. So many characters that could have easily been there and aren't and more generic renditions instead. A pity, since the art is very good.

I just bought these and they are beautiful, but I cannna shuffle them at all. They stick together like new money from the bank. Any tips on how to make them more slippery? Worst case scenario is I use them for decoration because the artwork matches the them of my bedroom.

The only problem I have is that Frollo wasn't the hydrophant
