Disney Villain Clayton Character Blocking Using Blender 2.91
Ойын-сауық
A video timelapse of me blocking out Disney Villain Clayton from Tarzan using primitive shapes and a very simple technique to achieve the anatomy style of Disney starting from a subdivided cube to a full anatomy blockout of Clayton.
and here is a link to my Gumroad where you can find all my character blockout for free

Using the subdivision modifier this way is actually really clever since it makes it easier to adjust high-res meshes. I'll be using that method in the future instead.

Started using this technique myself, and the primitives are so much cleaner to work with when they retain consistent paths and loops! Whereas with remesh, it makes it more unpredictable and can hinder smoother results.
Very beautiful!
Great skill on blocking. And overall artistic feel. And it's great that's in Blender. It's more related to zBrush approach, and finally you explored this topic through Blender. Thank you.

Shane is the best I have learned everything from him 😄
i downloaded 1.1GB of your clip. Amazing good job, brother. Thank you.
So to explain why he's using two subdivision modifiers instead of flipping up and down through one, from what I can tell by slowing down the video anyway, I think it's just less destructive and a way to save time. One is almost always on, and he'll add another to get the subdivisions looking closer to the final look, pushes the shape as far as he can with the actual topology, applies the second in the stack when he hits that limit, adds another and repeats. Correct me if I'm wrong, it's actually really smart.
Great work mate! Looks amazing.

nice one bro...that was helpful
Awesome!!
Incredible!
Wow wow😍😍😍 u r really awesome
Do you have any paid training because this is great man.
I love your video, but i wish it was a bit slower. I stink at anatomy. I am trying to follow what you do with muscles which i really struggle with.
i love your work bro please can you do some animal blockout at the same pace?
First thanks for sharing :) You have very good skills, but like you don't want to bring you art to next level. I mean on your Artstation gallery are just couple works, but no one is finished - polished work with sexy textures, nice render - presentation.

It's much better to focus on one thing at a time. He is a CS Student...
SE A COMPLICADO LA VIDA AL PRINCIPIO.
How do you make it so that when sculpting, the brush grabs vertexes that are closer to the actual mesh rather than the subdivided vertex hovering mid air? I was trying to follow along but it became really unintuitive when I had to aim further aside from the spot I'm actually trying to change just to find the closest vertex available for that area. Wonderful work by the way.
I see you subdivide instead of remeshing. Curious about your PC specs. Doesn't it get too heavy when the character becomes close to completion?
Hello, your work is really impressive, I would like to ask you if possible for a brief explanation of how to leave the development environment of blender in this way. Thank you very much and congratulations on your talent.

Any chance of you ever making Spider-Man character models? If you do, I'd like to see how you go about recreating him in Mark Bagley's style from the Ultimate Spider-Man Comics.
the echo on the music makes it sound like someone is repeatedly being slapped in the background xD
تم من شغل مصممين👌
could this work with rigging a character ? im busy with one for an assignment but im not sure if this method will help scince i need the model to be retopologised
Excelente trabalho pena que você não passa nenhum tutorial para blocagem este é o tipo de estrutura corporal que busco para escultura 3D
