Nobody does it better then Samantha Brown. I wasn't looking to join Disney's Vacation Club and probably wouldn't have watched this if she wasn't on it. Now I'm looking at it.

I've been a member since 1992 and I've never regretted it for one moment. We usually stay 7-10 days. This October we're staying over Halloween for 10 days and next year over Christmas for 13-14 days. We also got to stay at places we would never be able to if I weren't a DVC member. If we don't plan on using the points I can bank them or I can even rent them.

Samantha Brown is a great travel host. She could talk me into wanting to visit a prison or the arctic circle. I'm not so sure about Ken Podrocket though, he kind of strikes me as a bouncer from Atlantic City. Also, you could make a drinking game out of how many times people drop the word "magical". After enough use, the word loses any meaning. Unfortunately, this is par for the course in a Disney video. Although I'm only researching info for an upcoming 2-week stay at the resort, it's nice to hear about the vacation club and everything else Disney has to offer. Super impressed at the video and a +1 for Samantha Brown, the world's greatest travel host.

+Fifthrider She really is great! I've always enjoyed her shows, and I was really excited that she did this promo for Disney. However, I do agree that the guest testimonials all sound very similar. :-)

Lorri French I also loved her shows (especially "Great Hotels") and I recorded all the Disney episodes. I'm so glad I have them to watch now that they're not on TV anymore. I wanted nothing more than to win "A trip to WDW with Samantha Brown." I always knew that the one person I would want to be with on a Disney vacation was Sam. Think about it...who would be more fun than her? She would make it so Magical !!!

I'd do it if I was rich because prices start from like $18,000

You'd never recover it. DVC invented many of the sales scams adopted by other timeshares.

by my very loose math, if you normally stay at a moderate price resort for 5 days it would take 16 years of going go WDW to see any monitory benefit. And thats if you buy into the lowest DVC package and dont pay any interest or yearly fees. Has anyone else done this math?

Vwkarman2 no, Nobody's ever tried to calculate that before. You're the first! (LOL ;) The truth is, it's not an apples to apples comparison, so the math varies greatly depending on your situation, where you like to stay, when you travel, how big of a unit you need, etc.

+Vwkarman2 Interesting. I think the value comes in the fact that you can stay in a suite that would normally cost way more than a moderate resort, so you're not really comparing apples to apples here. DVC is not as good of a value for one or two people.

I have and DVC is way too expensive for the average working class family. It's much better for us to stay at either Art of Animation or Pop Century for 7-10 days, it's cheaper and it is Disney magic themed.

I'm still a bit confused on how it works really after research. You choose how many points you want and you just pay monthly for so many years?

+Fury283 I think you can pay monthly like a mortgage, but I think you have to have some kind of down payment, like for a house. Either way, it actually works like a mortgage and even has a deed. My parents used to be members, but they sold it when we moved down here. The nice thing is that it really holds its value. By the way, the amount you pay is based on how many points you want per year.

LOL. Really? Those high shots of her just look silly. high waisted (is that the term?) dresses and the few times the camera dipped below, it was really clear she was expecting. Continuity be darned. And on the right, I see another video of her, from the waist up when she's not pregnant. Was the director a man?

We love looking at the Vacation Club and hopefully will be members next year. But i must say this video is not your best. It is very dry and her jokes are not well scripted. This video could have been a lot better and would honestly not make me want to buy in to the Club. Sorry Disney

Everyone likes different things. I've been to several National Parks, and I enjoy them as well as Disney.

Uhh....this is like two years old???? Welcome Home Wednesday's has been discontinued close to two years now and the Polynesian, Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge aren't included in the list of DVC resorts.

This video is so pointless. I came here to learn about the program and pricing. Not to have to be dragged through propaganda filled advertisements. This video has the most pandering I have ever seen.

They really need to fire Samantha Brown. I can't stand her. I love watching these WDW shows, but I don't know why they always have the worst people to be in them. She's not funny, quirky, or remotely amusing (6:00 to 6:13 is a prime example) nor does she have the attractiveness factor (where you can just watch the video with the sound off). I felt the same way with Stacey, the girl from the shows running on your resort room TV
