I'm so glad you and your mom got to go back and visit that beach! She reminds me of my mom and seeing you two together is so sweet. I actually brought my own mom to Disneyland for the first time last May and saw you and Miles at breakfast. I get major social anxiety and didn't want to interrupt, but if I had come up to you, I would have thanked you for the warmness and joy your videos bring. Your little messages you sprinkle in every video mean the world! And the tips helped me prepare for an unforgettable trip with my mom. I don't think we would have been able to see everything if it weren't for your KZread. You all are the best! 💗

I can’t wait to get there soon. I’m glad your mom made it. It broke my heart last time, when you all missed going there. Your mom is so precious. I hope she gets many more trips to Castaway Cay, and maybe one day, get that $20,000 Mickey diamond bracelet too (I remembered that from The Wish video).

Wow the view of the ship from the observation deck - MASSIVE!! It looks like a small city from a distance

We had an amazing time at Castaway Cay 8 years ago. We even ran the 5k one morning. I have the medal still, I got some pins on that trip that I keep on it as a keepsake. The 99% humidity was insane to run it (we are California people).

Love that hat!! Castaway Cay is my wife's happy place. Our last Disney cruise was a five nighter that was supposed to go to Castaway Cay twice, but there was a tropical storm, so we only went once. Instead - we did donuts out in the ocean staying away from the storm (I have a funny screen shot of the 'path" our cruise took). Thought Disney Cruise Line would have done some sort of an adjustment, but nothing was provided. Castaway Cay is a great place to be.

What a fun day for your family. I've seen a few videos of Castaway Cay and it looks like a great way to getaway. A whole day of that would be too much for me in my current health situation but if I was about ten years younger I would love a day on that island. Totally would be riding a bike there and getting in the water. Lots to choose from and I learned some good tips from this. Thank you! 😊

Right on for some odd reason Mimi reminded me of the movie “Stop or my will shoot” don’t know why? Those kids are going to sleep tonight!

I am not sure about Disney cruises, but other cruise lines have discounted things going in the ship when the ship is in port. Went on the quick little three cruise from Los Angeles to Ensenada. Had no interest in Ensenada so stayed on ship and enjoyed a spa day for half price.

I have been to Castaway Cay and it was very memorable!

It depends on what time of year you go. We were there at this time in 2015 and had jeans and blankets at Castaway.

So just one boat at a time docks there? I mean there's that going for ya, did not look terribly crowded at all really except maybe at the food stop. Good to see Disney still has buy some so you can buy more "promo" deals even at private islands 🤣

These videos have me really excited. I'm going on the Fantasy in October and will be doing the Castaway Cay 5k. I've been wanting to see the course, and was a little disappointed you didn't do it, but your bike ride actually followed the 5k course, so wish fulfilled! Thank you so much for all your videos, I've been to Disneyland 3x and Disney World once in the last year and all trips have been enhanced by watching your videos ahead of time to plan, and I expect my Fantasy trip will also be better because of the previews you're currently posting. I did the CC 5k the same day PPP was there. I started my run at 9AM and 1.5-miles into the run, I was getting really hot as the sun was just beating down me, and had to take 2 water breaks. Do the run as soon as you get off the ship, because the weather will be cooler, and walk to the start/finish line (the walk will be your warm up). Make sure you talk to the guide about the 5k route or else you'll be doing a 4.5-mile run rather than a 3.1-mile run. Don't forget to buy Castaway Cay 5k merch.

👍As always, thank you for sharing. We are a huge family of disney fans, who have been to all the theme parks throughout the world and will continue to travel and support the brand. Even through and beyond all the politics that go on behind the doors of the House of the Mouse. We are a blessed family who've been able to sail on many different cruise lines multiple times throughout the decades 🛳. But we are very taken aback by how Underwhelming Disney's island is in comparison and contrast to other cruise lines island's like Royals Caribbean 🏝 and Norwegians cruise line 🏝. We feel Disney needs to up their game, as well as focus on plusesing the East Coast and West Coast Disneyland parks. The competition is fierce whether at sea or on land for DISNEY, no doubt, and in the future. Safe travels to you and your family and many more happy memories to be made and shared.👍💯🫶

Oh man, I went on one of the cruises back in the late aughts and we stopped at Castaway Cay and it was amazing! My favorite part was going to the dock where you could pet the stingrays! We went during the off-season so the ship was fairly empty. It was the most relaxing vacation I’ve ever had and I’m trying to convince my boyfriend to plan a Disney cruise with me for our next vacation! 😂

Hey Chris, I just found something interesting about Disney that you may not know. (my guess is you do), No cast members will point with one finger because in some countries is known to be a rude jester, so they always use two fingers. Also in signage showing directions, its done with two fingers.. Also, Walt was a heavy smoker and 99% of the photos that he is in, they "photo shopped" the cigarette out of the picture, which in result kind of showed him pointing with two fingers!.

Pluto is probably not on the island map because he's Mickey's dog & the Disney cruise (only way to get to the island) isn't exactly a bring your pet venue. Just theorizing.

Do they still have the snorkel hunt in the water for the hidden treasures.

I'm so happy Mimi finally got to go to the private island since she got ripped off that last cruise. I'm wondering if Disney ever compensated people for that ordeal??

About 30 people live there full time (6 months on, 6 months off) they do maintenance, grounds keeping etc... the servers, child care staff and merchandise people come from the boat.

Good parenting having Miles wear a life jacket since you were not with him.

Please wear a helmet especially trying to film at the same time gosh it’s not worth the risk
