Im certain everyone would find this film to be highly controversial considering today's Political climate... however its definitely an interesting story to tell and I for one would like to see it!

I would love to see a Pocahontas remake. No matter what it was still a critical part of history and yes, Disney definitely romanticized it but she's a Disney princess. I feel like it would be MORE controversial if she was the only princess who doesn't get a remake.

@@alexpaul1223 I know but technically she's the daughter of the chief so if they HAD used those titles she'd be a princess. Is there a term for the daughter of a chief? Princess is just a lot easier and it sounds good. But idk if there's a term for Pocahontas as the daughter of the chief but if so then they should have used that. Also Disney recognizes her as a Princess so why wouldn't we (peasants)

The Disney version should have been done solely as a work of fiction with different character names altogether. It was a beautiful story with excellent music.

If they do a live action Pocahontas I want it to be historically accurate.

It’s rumored they won’t be making a live action of this because of how much potential it has to cause offense to people.

I feel like they would have to try n capture the algonomy of movements of climactic scenes related to the cartoon. Such as the waterfall scene, with wind blowing through her hair. Or the scene near the end when the compass is spinning. Those heart stopping moments are what made the cartoon a very good movie. If they can do this in real life, then they should definitely attempt it

Wow. beautiful fan-made edit, a mash-up remix of movies. I support Chris Hemsworth as John Smith. However, Christopher Plummer is unfortunately passed away. If we want someone to replace him, then Anthony Hopkins, Patrick Stewart, Donald Sutherland, or Ian McKellen are wonderful replacements. However, I feel like Alfred Molina or Ian McShane would be better parts for Governor Ratcliffe's face shape, Molina or McShane are better face shapes for this part tbh. But, my thing is if and when live-action Pocahontas happens and this should happen (one of my favorite Disney Princesses and Disney movies) Temuera Morrison and Danny Trejo both need to be the Chief Powhatan and the Shaman Medicine Man (his name is Kekata) respectively, and just an all-Native American, Indigenous cast for more awareness. Because honestly, there are more tribes outside of the popular Cherokee, Tomahawk, and Powhatan, and this should be more known. But, I seriously would love Boba Fett/Star Wars actor Temuera to play Pocahontas father, because he looks identical to this character, this is just my opinion.

This is no trailer, this is a 2005 movie called The New World with Colin Farrell and Christian Bale. It is the Pocahontas story but it's not made by Disney.

While everything is political, I love when Disney made historically inaccurate movies just to give imagination. And Disney can still do that. I love how your trailer was like an opening preview feel before the movie starts in a theatre.

Except that now people are aware that the real Pocahontas was 14 and ...I don't know the rest, but years ago, I heard the depiction, from my middle school history teacher, that it was Smith's diary, like he was the one who had eyes for a 14 year old girl. [Shuddering internally.] So, maybe not Disney version, per se...since every remake is trying to be realistic, they have to try to be somewhat historically accurate...

It's NOT BEST to stick with the Disney version because it gives false accounts of her life. She was RAPED and Impregnated at 14, its best to tell the truth so that way HER LIFE isn't tainted with false depictions of a happy ending because it wasn't the happily ever after she envisioned for herself, I'm sure. Nobody wants to be forced married to someone they do not know. Please, keep your opinions to yourself because as an Indigenous member myself, I for one DO NOT care for the false Narrative of Pocahantas. I care about what REALLY happened to her in her lifetime because that's the factual accounts of the person that went through REAL life situations like us people that are living life today. Women who can relate to what she went through as a person, can bring real emotions to the thoughts of those situations she endured as a person, that's what MADE her a REAL human being. Please! Tell the truth of Pocahantas's life, not the lies.

If they actually Live Action this movie then they should call it “Colors Of The Wind” instead of “Pocahontas”

Found out Disney decided not to do it. The reason is cause of presijus reasons. Or however you spell that word.
