I don’t know why Disney Channel likes to romanticize unhealthy couples like Teddy and Spencer, Jake & Miley, and Chuck and Trish. It makes me so angry and frustrated and it’s not good for the audience who watches the shows.

@@ellelou6517 I agree Josh was a better guy, but Maddie and Diggie seemed like a more kid friendly version of Carrie and Mr. Big on Sex and the City. Maddie didn’t seem to appreciate Josh and she was kinda self-serving and I know Liv & Maddie fans are gonna get so pissed at me for saying this, but I kinda think Maddie and Diggie deserve each other. I don’t like some of the things Diggie did to Maddie, but they were equally as self-serving and unappreciative of their love interests (Maddie was unappreciative of Josh, Diggie was unappreciative of Maddie)

To be fair this issue is everywhere it's also on nick (BeckxJade, FreddiexSam) But also in teen movies like After and twilight As well as adult movies like fifty shades of grey and 365 days I think it's really an issue in society but having this in children/teen media is a lot worse than in adult movies since young people are more impreassionable and tend to take it too seriously

It also requires the writers to let the characters keep their development, and not put them back with their first partner ‘cause “history” - I’m so over that, especially when the first couple didn’t have chemistry or was toxic.

Miley and Jake had a richer history together in my opinion. They took more risks and Jake changed himself to be someone worthy of Miley's love. Yes Jake cheated, but I blame the writers more than Jake because that was so out of character for him and I feel like they only did that because they needed to give Miley a reason to expose herself as Hannah which would only be achieved through Jesse. But anyways, Miley and Jake are endgame since on the official Hannah Montana Twitter, she wrote a letter to Jake saying how she hasn't stopped thinking about him and didn't write anything to Jesse.

I don’t like love triangles because they’re so overused but their are two dynamics of love triangles I’ve never really seen but I would absolutely love too 1. A love triangle where it’s a true triangle, one person likes another person who likes the first person. 2. A love triangle where the opposing sides start to have feelings for one another and so the person in the middle of the triangle really ends up shifting around.

Legend of Korra has a full triangle, like all parties had feelings for one another at some point (although that entire relationship drama was a whole mess and we honestly didn't need it at all, especially considering the type of show it's in). They also couldn't be that explicit about it because it's nickelodeon so in the end we only got hand holding but it's 100% canon. As for books there's Carry On by Rainbow Rowell that sort of has a full triangle but the main couple is very clear and the third party isn't really that involved for the most part so the love triangle isn't really the point. The main character liked both at some point, the second person only liked the main character and the third person kind of liked both at different points. The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich has your second scenario, it had a stupid twist though but overall it was pretty good.

My favourite love triangle is Ron, Kim and Eric from the Kim Possible movie. It’s so beautifully done, the way Ron transitions from feeling like a third wheel to realizing that he has feelings for her. Kim of course is oblivious to this and Ron being the great guy he is, allows her to be happy because he truly wants the best for her. And the way the movie ends with them getting together is one of the cutest moments ever and I love it so much.

I really thought Star, Tom, and Marco would make the list. Also it’s interesting that all of these ships are one girl/two guys instead of the other way. I guess that’s more common with tv love triangles? The only one I can think of off the top of my head that’s two girls/one guy is the riley/maya/lucas triangle, and I think we all know how you feel about that haha

I actually liked Zack and Bailey more when I first watched the show, I feel like they had a good dynamic. However I never liked Cody and Barbra, so I was ready for her to be replaced. Bailey and Cody have stuff in common and it was annoying but it was a good kind of annoying (not their characters, but with how the other characters acted about their relationship was funny), so I’m happy Cody and Bailey got together.

I've never watched Bia and let me tell you. That was an awesome triangle!

Soy Luna Spoilers: I always thought that the reason why the Lumon and Lutteo triangle was reintroduced in season 3 is Bc of three reasons. 1. they needed a reason for Matteo to start feeling insecure. The second half of season 3, it’s the most insecure we have ever seen him. He doesn’t have his ego anymore after the fall. 2. It also gives Matteo a perspective that maybe Luna might not always be his if that makes sense. 3. Luna just found out about who she truly was when she was born. Lots of changes are happening in her life and her thinking she might have feelings for her childhood best friend, the one constant in her life, is realistic. Even during this time she was confused, you could still tell that Luna still had feelings for Matteo. She was just hurt about everything he did in the past. And he did make some bad mistakes so her not forgiving him right away (until he apologized) was a good mood. Now the whole Michel storyline, that was just to delay things. But everything else before that, I think can be justified

First of all damn I've never been this early lmao. Also you should do a video comparing same type of characters from different shows. Like Ludmila and Ambar for exemple which are the "mean girls", the bad boys Leon and Matteo and obviously main characters etc. (Doesn't have to be just soy Luna and violetta but they were the first ones that came to mind)

As a Ben and Skye shipper I can say that yes I was annoyed that Skye started developing feelings for Ben again in s2 because it felt like Skye was just torturing Ben with unclear signals. I was like ‘Well, then she should’ve chosen Ben to begin with and then I could get more Ben and Skye duets

With the intro, I was thinking about how Lab Rats (my favorite Disney show) didn’t have a love triangle, but then I vaguely remembered an episode where Adam and Chase fought over a girl. And then I remembered Eddie, Donald, and Tasha. Probably the best version of the love triangle trope in any Disney show, can’t dog on it

As someone who shipped Ben and skye more than Sean and skye, I was kinda sad she picked Sean by the start of season 2 but then came Danielle and Ben and I instantly loved them together and was so happy they ended up together by the end of season 2. It kinda annoyed me that she went back to liking ben later on in season 2 as I was kinda getting used to her and Sean being together.

as someone who shipped skye and ben *slightly* more than skye and sean, bringing back the triangle in season 2 was cool at first but once you realize she isn't going to end up with ben anyways it just became redundant and annoying

I liked Skye with Ben so a part of me was excited when she realized she still likes Ben but also like u said, TOO LITTLE TOO LATE GIRL??? Plus when I found out Ben and Danielle was a thing, I thought they were pretty cute together so bringing the triangle back just felt unnecessary

The last one on your list really tore up my guts because after understanding exactly what both Ana and Thiago did to Victor I wanted to drop kick them both.

13:20 OMG that scene:( every time I get to see it makes me want to cry so hard, I was a Lumon shipper in season one, Simon really was heartbroken at this moment of the storyline and the moment that gets me the most its when he wants to forget about the song "eres" which its one of my favorite songs from the entire show. This love triangle its by far one my favorites:) love the video;)

Ronald wasn't even that attractive to me and he's evil but I still liked him immediately over Dean bc Ronald was so sweet and charming to Alex and Dean didn't do much for me despite his sweet words in the shop card lol

my favorite is jonah andi and cyrus from andi mack mostly because jonah was cyrus's first crush and it was cute how he and andi talked about how frustrating jonah was and bonded over it

@@karensmith2628 the plot is repetitive, but as it continues on to later seasons the resolution gets more unique. And that’s one of the things i like about it 😌

I thought I was the only one who liked the live triangle between Zack,Cody and Bailey. I wish Zack and Bailey had another try at their relationship.

Don't get me wrong, I think Luna and Matteo are cute together and I am fine with them being endgame in the series. I just have a hard time getting over their lack of communication skills as a couple. The first time I really questioned whether I wanted her to end up with Matteo was in Season 2 Episode 72 where Matteo is trying to get back together with Luna and she points out how they argued all the time and didn't communicate and he responded with something to the effect of "maybe that is our way of communicating, by arguing". That just screams red flag to me. And while the characters did grow and develop some they really do not hear each other out. They just interrupt each other thinking they know what the other is going to say. Heck, even in the end, it takes Simon to tell both of them how the other felt because they still are terrible at having a conversation by the end of the series. Like I said, I still enjoy them but I just would have liked to see that aspect as a couple been more developed.

yes i need to talk to someone about this, because the communication skills for all the characters SUCKED. A lot of things would have been avoided if everyone TALked to each other. Especially in Szn two with the drama between lutteo and gastina. Like the main two ships of season 2 made me want to rip my hair out. Thats y season 2 is my least favorite season out of the three. Still good just least favorite season

@@aniahammah2707 I feel the same with how Gastina was treated in season 2! Though I will say I think I like a lot of the songs from season 2 which makes the miscommunications worth it. I also have to remember that the characters are set in high school so it makes more sense why communication is less than ideal (though I would love to see a show where it's aimed at young people and shows healthy relationships lol).

Quick comment - in order for something to be a love triangle, there needs to be 3 relationships. Suite Life was a good example because the brother relationship was so strong. Otherwise, it is not a triangle just a difficult choice for a single character.

it’s a love triangle, it’s just not done well. i understand what y’all are saying but that’s what the trope is called. plus there are three relationships lol they just aren’t good relationships all around.

In the lodge scene when Sean says You obviously wish it hadn’t happened and skye says yeah, It hurts me deep down. That one word is so laced with annoyance and anger

I hated that the writers turned Jake into a cheater in the last season. All the work, all the character development between the two of them just to throw it away for something he'd NEVER DO after everything they've been through together. Maddening

In season 1 of The Lodge I didn’t realize I was rooting for her to pick Ben until she picked Sean. But I think I just liked Ben a lot so I was biased 😂 But then as season 2 progressed I was shipping Ben with Danielle so hard that I was okay with her picking Sean and was getting annoyed that her feelings for Ben were coming back. I feel like season 3 would have turned into a love square with Danielle thrown into the mix haha
