We should all appreciate how Disney is committed to theming on their rides. It’s not like there was a small mountain/hill sitting next to Disneyland. This ride was created on what used to be part of the Disneyland parking lot. They literally built this ride from the ground up!

The real fact is that he got it for himself is because he went alone to the park and the video was 2 weeks ago and(COVID) if he go with a family they will go with him or not because they dont want it

As I looked around at all of the trees and natural looking settings of this attraction, I couldn’t help but marvel at the fact that the last time I was at Disneyland in 1994, this area was all parking lot. What a beautiful conversion!

Look at that lovely blue sky and warm climate. Really could do with a holiday. Fun ride too.

I am not a huge fan of raft rides, but my son wanted to go on Grizzly River Run the weekend before last on our very first visit to Disney’s California Adventure. I am *so* glad we did! This is easily the best raft ride I’ve ever experienced. The raft was always in motion… spinning, moving swiftly through the water, going down hills. On cookie-cutter raft rides (I’m lookin’ at you, Congo River Rapids), you typically traverse a totally flat layout while slamming hard into poorly designed turns, losing speed with each bump.

This ride was painful, fun, and thrilling all in one, post-covid I went on this ride and the lines were close to nobody, I only ever rode with a full cart once, definitely underrated.

This is one ride you really need a lot of people with you to enjoy. It’s kind of sad seeing empty rafts.

When I go on raft rides I love being grouped with people and sharing the experience. Everyone reacting together and smiling makes it so fun

My favourite attraction is Grizzly River Run at Disney California Adventure

Wow the water is so clean and crystal clear.

On the drop at the end, I once got completely turned around right at the last second and it was completely unexpected. I thought I would be able to predict and anticipate the drop, but it was like all my confidence disappeared the second before the drop.

I do like the raft rides, I also remember how Yogi and Boo Boo went down the Rapids before the falls at Jellystone national park.

Must feel so good to go on in a hot day. 😎

This ride is a 10/10. I was just at California Adventure and Disneyland and did this ride with my family. Including a 5 year old who loved it, totally recommend.

I remember riding this on my ninth bday with my best friend, dad, and some random family (very nice people btw). We got soaked and towards the end we passed under a bridge and there was an elderly woman (I believe the other family’s grandma) just pointing and laughing her head off at all of us saying “I told you!!!” 😂 good times!

If you go on there at night there is no line you can watch fireworks and have fun with family/friends all at the same time it’s awesome!

The rapids rides is the best ride to go on when you need to cool off from the summer heat

I went on this ride for my little brothers make a wish trip and it was really fun it was nice to have a distraction from how my life had been at the time

OK, this is one of the best Rapid Rides of all time!

I love water rides like this

i love this ride. i went on this with my family and one of my cousins rode this for 2 hours straight. it was later at night and no one else in the park was riding. they let him just go on loops for however long he wanted.

You still make the BEST ride videos!! Love putting them up on my big screen and go along on the ride. BEST EVER!!

I like how one of the mountains is shaped like a bear

That fact that he never dropped the camera is pretty cool

I went on this during my last Disneyland trip and prior to that I hadn't been on it in years but I forgot how thrilling it is!

Such an awesome & fun ride specially in summer.it’s more fun if more people are sitting with you too. One of the best rides specially in summer!! Love it

Never felt this was Disney quality, just felt like any rapids you'd get at a Six Flags or Knotts Berry Farm.

How bout splash mountain?

The fact that this dude got on the ride is insane cause disneyland and Disney’s California adventure is open but they got rid of fast passes and I went to Disney’s California adventure and the wait time was 90 minutes 👁👄👁

I went there yesterday & can say you did an amazing job capturing the full ride experience!

I love that you have your own raft! I've been fortunate enough to have a raft to myself but only if I ride early in the day, maybe within 30 mins of the park opening.

That gimble is handling that raft like a boss!

Man, I sure had fun on that rapid ride back on my Disneyland trip in California back in April of this year, it kinda reminded me of what would Splash Mountain look like if it was a rapid ride :)

Me too! For almost every ride u and your group get your raft/cart so everyone is social distanced! It’s a lot better personally

my favorite part was definitely the finger wiping the water droplets off the camera lens

one time- a few years back, my friend’s family and my family all rode together on this ride. my dad turned around right as a wave came in and he turned around, his face was wet 😂😂

That Geyser part was cool and neat :) They should have added more of that :)

Ok story time. I HATE drops in rides. The feeling drops give me really hurts my stomach and its exacerbated by the fact that i tense up and keep my eyes closed (which you’re not supposed to do in a drop). My older, psychopathic sister knows this. So she gets me to go on this damn ride which i was not intimidated by because we’re at freaking Disneyland! As we’re riding up that creaking hill platform i grew suspicious. Squinted my eyes at her and asked very seriously if there was a drop. She was very convincing. I wanted to look this ride up to see if the drop was actually 100 feet, like it felt. Nope. It was tiny and i now have PTSD and had to run to the toilet so i didn’t crap my pants from the memories this video gave me.

One of the most underrated and best rides in DCA. Just hope a boat doesn't tip over. These rides kill you know.

I wouldn’t say “these rides kill”. That was one, very tragic, incident. The ride at Dreamworld wasn’t maintained properly, which led to an issue with the water pumps/water level, eventually leading to the tragedy. With how many of these types of rides operate around the world without incident, and given this is Disney, the chances of a raft tipping over are extremely slim, to the point of being almost nonexistent. But I can see where your worry is coming from. No matter how much I think to myself how safe this ride is given it’s being operated at much higher levels of safety, there’s still a part of me that thinks “what if?”. Guess that’s the case with any thrill ride.

@@crystalcavernartwork722 One killed a kid and critically injured another in Altoona Iowa this summer. The raft deflates and gets caught and flips over. The conveyer belt also has crushed a worker at the same park. So, yeah more than one isolated incident.

Wonderful waterway (and all the backstage machines that make it function!) i prefer the log-boats tho, as these round ones constantly rotating drives me bonkas!

I miss this ride so much and I miss getting soaked!

I'm getting up there in years so my favorite rides have moved from roller coasters to raft, plume, skyrides, trains, etc. I would like the drop on this one though. I'm still up for a little excitement!

I remember not wanting to go on this ride because of the thing that pulled you up I thought it was a big drop after then I went on it and was like oh my god I’m stupid

I remember when the ride broke down at the final drop when I was 7 years old and I freaked out because we were at the very edge for 10 min…

I remember me and my family going on this as soon as dca opened. Nobody was there so it was cool!

Reminds me of the time I told my son it was his last time going to Disney Land. He begged me to go on Grizly River Rapids and we stayed in the park till close!

Why is the water crystal clear before the first climb, but once you get over the hill the water becomes some sludge polluted water supply?

This was one of very few rides at California Adventure that stay with me. California Screamin', Orange Stinger (it smelled amazingly like citrus), Sun Wheel (still one of the best ferris wheels in the world) and Grizzly River Rapids are the only rides worth going on. And if you know rides by these names, then you know how long it has been since I been to DCA. Before Tower of Terror, before Cars, back when that area was still a small parking lot.

went on this when i was a kid and had no idea there was a drop at the end. started crying when i saw it 😭 but it was really fun regardless!

Dude, I've been to Disneyland so many times and have literally never got to ride this. Sometimes it's closed but more than often I wait in line til I get to the front then it stops working ... I've given up.

I'm way too terrified of raft rides, never going on them again because of how many accidents there have been

The chances of having an accident on this ride are slim to none. They do happen but millions of guests have ridden this ride with very few If any accidents. Millions of car accidents and plane crashes have happened too , are you scared to drive or fly as well? I think you should try it, you might like it.

Just like you can build in those _RollerCoaster Tycoon_ games! Ever river rapids ride I've been to in real life, whether it was Roaring Rapids at Six Flags over Texas or Renegade Rapids at Frontier City in Oklahoma City, there was no going down besides the rapids, and no going up until the end. And this one has at least somewhat longer downhill sloping on it! This is *my* kind of river rapids ride... only I'll probably never go there, as it's in California. Too much money just to travel without any provisions of any kind and never go back where I came from.

this ride was so fun when i went! we went on it about 5 times! the line was so short

I only went on this ride once. Sadly when I went over thanksgiving in 2021 it was closed for refurbishment. Last time I went on it I was about 6 so I don’t remember this ride at all
