Disney Family Album | Clarence "Ducky" Nash | Ducky Nash | Voice of Donald Duck | Disney History
The Disney Family Album was an original documentary series produced by The Disney Channel in the mid 1980’s. The 20 Episodes aired from June 1984 until January 1986. Looking for the rest of the Disney Family Albums? Be sure to check the playlist on SamsDisneyDiary
This episode, the first in the series, was thought to be the lost episode, Clarence “Ducky” Nash. Clarence is best known for providing the voice of Donald Duck. As the story goes, Walt happened to be walking by while Clarence was impersonating a family of ducks. Walt thought Clarence would be perfect for an upcoming talking duck in “The Wise Little Hen” animated short. That chance meeting resulted in Clarence providing the voice of Donald Duck for 50 years. Happy 50th Birthday Donald! Special thanks and all credit for the “Lost Episode” to the VintageKid for allowing me to share this video.

It's sad to think that during Donald Duck's 50th anniversary and during this episode's production Clarence Nash had developed leukemia and passed away a year later, but his legacy and the duck live on through his protégé Tony Anselmo.
My great grandpa was the original voice of Donald Duck. Clarence "Ducky" Nash. UPDATE More information has come to me recently through my father that clarified Clarence was in fact my great STEP grandfather. My grandpa on my dads side married Kay. In fact Clarence is not related by blood but by marriage. I apologize for this misunderstanding . Growing up my mother always told me he was my "great grandpa" and I always accepted it as fact.
Clarence "Ducky" Nash, the original voice of Donald Duck. Then Tony Anselmo took over the role.
president of new york city is : Donald f. duck serving : 1941-1945
Back when my older brother was in the Coast Guard, I drew, inked, and colored an exact copy of an insignia of Donald Duck as a badass-looking pirate that the Disney artists made for the Coast Guard during World War II, all without tracing. At the time I wanted to go to CalArts, so I intended for that to be in my submission portfolio. I found the image I replicated in a big book on the Coast Guard's history and my brother compared my drawing to the original and liked it so much that he actually got it tattooed on his arm, the only difference was that the tattoo artist flipped it like in a mirror. I could have been a tattoo artist, given how well I can draw, but don't like the idea of working on live canvasses. As a kid, I never collected Marvel or DC comics, I collected Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge comics by Carl Barks.
Happy 90th birthday, Donald Duck! I watch this short documentary every year
When Donald Duck's original voice artist Clarence Nash died from leukemia at the age of 80 on February 20, 1985, Disney animator Tony Anselmo became the current official voice of the character with the exception of "Chip and Dale's Nutty Tales" and the Disney Junior series "Mickey and the Roadster Racers" (later retitled "Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures" for its third season) in which Donald's voice is provided by Daniel Ross.
God bless Mr Clarence Nash, a special, funny and talented man. 🦆🌹❤️
R.I.P. Clarence ‘’Ducky’’ Nash, the original voice of Donald Duck (1904-1985) 😢😢😢😢
Der Fuehrer's Face is my favorite Donald Duck cartoon. Der Fuehrer's Face was also the first of two animated short films to be set during the War to win an Oscar, the other being Tom and Jerry's short film, The Yankee Doodle Mouse.

Omg, Isn’t it crazy how 3 People have voiced Donald, and still has the Classic voice?

One of the most memorable performances by Donald Duck came a few years after this show: The piano dueling sequence in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Such a thrill to watch Donald and Daffy together. I really wish they would make a sequel to that movie!
Clarence Nash Is Legend
Best Disney duck ever!
