The last "Lion King" live action remake looked terrible. There was no emotions in the animals faces. Everything was empty and soulless. What makes Disney think the second one is going to be better?! 😓💔💢

They would have to admit that their core values were wrong, they were wrong and the whole post 2016 Disney was a huge mistake. They would sink their personal careers and legacies and basically denounce their friends to eachother. I don't this will happen voluntarily. Someone needs to buy the husk of Disney at a bankruptcy auction and gut the whole thing. This virtue signaling trash isn't just clinging on to Disney, it has burrowed itself deep into the bones of the company and set house there.

I reported their trailer video saying, "They turned off comments because they don't want to hear the truth about the trash they are putting out as "entertainment."☹

That whole disney regime needs to go. Every single one of them.

Barry Jenkins is nothing more than a DEI hire following Disney's mandate of 'underrepresented groups'. What other than that then to give a hardly known director more known for smaller budget indie films handle of a hundred-million dollar plus film for an established Disney IP.

Robert Iger, and his personal friends who are board members of the Disney Board of Directors have got to go. Iger's management style of shirking responsibility, diversions, and ignoring facts is a complete failure. I'm sure many of us have seen corporations and / or work(ed) for corporations that went under because of the same exact practices of Robert Iger and the Disney Board of Directors.

Not only do the entire current board need to go, but investment companies who hold significant common stock stakes in Disney should be sued for pressuring Disney to go the ill-advised ESG/DEI route. Maybe BlackRock, Vanguard Group, etc. being forced to dole out settlements in the several billion dollar range for each investment company should put an end to the shenanigans.

I'll be rewatching the classic three on DVD this December instead.

I have to ask... who keeps approving these projects? I find it hard to believe that the proverbial adults in the room are so oblivious to not see their sales numbers and not grasp that these projects aren't going to just fail in every respect.

Love your show and your buddy's shows also. Trust me, they are in panic mode upstairs.

@ghostprojekt I know what you mean! This drives me up the wall! It is, very, rude. Valiant doesn't interrupt WDW Pro whenever he is on HIS show! Valiant is always respectful. Particularly, whenever he is a guest on someone else's show. WDW Pro, on the other hand, practically, takes over Valiant's show and, nearly, disallows him from making his points and conveying his thoughts in the way that he had planned!

Lion King's Soundtrack is in the top 10 but The Bodyguard and Saturday Night Fever are still the top selling soundtracks of all time.

For as many times as Jon Favreau has brought Disney to the promised land, Disney has repeatedly brought Jon Favreau's work to the dumpster fire. Also, my condolences to Pro. Did he actually survive the full length of Scuttlebutt? I had to stop after 30 seconds (and I'm not joking, either).

The Sonic 3 movie will obviously beat this Lion King prequel that no one asked for at the box office in ticket sales this Christmas. That videogame adaption movie will be better especially because the people at Paramount who are making it have a good amount of respect for the Sonic franchise's source material which was proven from the success of the previous 2 movies and from what has been revealled about that third one so far. While the Disney company currently has no respect for the source material in this franchise because of what they did to the live-action remake, that this movie's trailer shows that the titular character's backstory has been butchered, and because they are making it with the same photo-realistic artstyle that they got criticized by the fans for making the 2019 remake with when those fans found out after watching it how emotionless the characters in it were being shown as when compared to how emotionful the characters are in the 2D animated original version. The original songs got butchered too.

Disney knows they’re in DEEP doo-doo…Star Wars: ruined; Marvel: ruined; Indiana Jones: ruined…and BILLIONS of dollars: gone. Finally, creativity: totally gone. All they can do is hope to squeeze a few bucks more out of their old blockbusters from 20 plus years ago…it’s just pathetic.

Let’s hope Disney Keeps spending money on trash products like theres no tomorrow. Eventually they’ll run out of money and have to announce bankruptcy.

What I would like to know is. If Mufasa makes say between $800 million and $1 billion for over all box office despite the current dicourse around it. Then what does that say about the consumer demographic, about The Lion King IP as a whole. If say both DeadPool 3 and Mufasa are the only to box office success that Disney has this year what does that say about the costumers overall? Now I am not coming off as a Disney shill as I hate Diseny as much as anyone right. But I am one of the many people going to see Mufasa and yes I did see the 2019 'remake*' and I thought it was okay but does not hold any candle to the 1994 original but as a die hard Lion King fan I am going to see it. But overall, if Mufasa becomes a box office success despite the current number of dislikes on the trailer and discourse surrounding it, what does that say about the overall consumer base and The Lion King IP as a whole?
