The general public including foreign tourist should be kept well away from the guards. Most people don’t seem to have any respect, knowledge or regard for the serving members of our armed forces. It seems as if they think it’s like Disneyland and the guards are random men and women dressed up in uniform.

Too bad taking an IQ is not required for applying for a visa.

The same people go to Yellowstone and wade through the thermal pools and take selfies with the wildlife when it's clearly marked and warned against. "Yeah, but that doesn't apply to me - I do what I want!" seems to be the mantra of people nowadays.

Tourists should be made aware of our culture & rules before they travel.

Sadly to say it's not just in Great Britain that this total lack of respect is shown. In the US the disrespect and clownish behavior at the changing of the guard ceremony at the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier in Washington, DC is shocking.

Look, if they’re a tourist attraction you are gonna get this sort of thing - put up some barriers or something or stop whinging. If they’re doing a real job, then fence them off from the tourists. I see all the silly tourist things but ,most of it is because there are no clear physical limits set. They’re trying to get the best of both worlds and failing miserably in the attempt.
