Believe me, this is a great documentary. Lennon goes into details about Umar's school scam, a scam that's been going on for over 10 years. Umars constant verbal attack on black boys and girls and black people in general. You get to hear the dumbest things ever out of Umar's mouth. Lenon goes all out, certainly one of the best documentaries I've seen in a long time.

    I need to say something here as a major and author of psychology AND a Muslim (yes, a Muslim). Black people have gotten the whole Atheist view point from whites and consider themselves to be intellectual for doing so. I have asked black brothers and sisters to name ONE great African empire that was NOT religious as a "GLUE" that held the people together! There is NONE! We as black people not only were and all the original Jew, Christian and Yes, Muslims, but we have historically used religion to conquer and prosper. The most powerful glue for any people is a common spiritual belief that convinces them of their rights, power, and greatness. I will wait for anyone here to tell me what great empires were built on atheism.

  • @TheUmmahFightCamp

    @TheUmmahFightCamp

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@johnjones-yt8rt I am afraid not. First, the early great empires of China were not built upon an atheistic ideology. Nor is it today. China is run by a Communist regime with an asterisk since it allows for much traditional communism, as most know it, did not. The people are of many different religions from Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, and others. The religion of the people, however, is second to the nationalistic interest in dominance. Even if China was all atheist, it would still be a fact that the overwhelming number of great empires made ample use of religion.

    Not true. We had religion before ee were taken. As a matter of fact the white want us to think that they introduced us to religion. But history shows that some of our gospel music that's in our churches was sung by our ancestors on the slave ships on there way to Europe and was rewritten by a white man in English. Also in the bible shows when the prophet Isaac has visted one of the black nations and was amazed to know that our people had already known god and have been worshipping him for centuries. I don't believe we were introduced by white people about religion when we had the message long before they came. The bible was written in Africa. Everything started in Africa. Look it up . the countries and towns mentioned in the bible is in Africa. So tell me how can they introduced us to something we already had?

How do you discuss politics, finances, racism, education etc etc and remove the Creator from this discussion to overlook Him and rely on your own understanding as if our finite minds are superior to God’s infinite wisdom. Im a film student this is not bashing, this is to grow. Need to work on the Audio input maybe use a mixer with a direct input box or kill the hum in the mics.... also showing lights and stage equipment is sometimes nice to show if its intentional. I think the flood light in the shot was not intentional. Just keep the camera static. Its just dialogue and it does not need more than panning from left to right or zooming in and out to give more energy to the show. Production value is very important. All of my videos ARE NOT professional and the projects that needed to be professional are and most of my videos do not have important figures or interesting topics for that matter. Something to think about. The audio noise is a distraction. You can use a wireless or wired boom mic instead of using the cameras mic (not sure which option you choose).

    I don't understand why a lot of black people think Christianity is the white man's religion. We were worshipping Jesus way BEFORE the Europeans. Mark, the disciple, started the first church in Egypt. Our faith is important because it's what's driven MLK, and white people like William Wilberforce. How else do we discover the meaning above ourselves?

    Do some research into the origins of Christianity. Also look into when the letter J was created. Look into the image of “Jesus Christ” and the origins of that. Check out the origins of the holidays. Easter, Christmas etc.

    @joshuablackburn5770

    N'ZIer Bohannon Actually, if you do your research Christmas and Easter are both Pagan holidays. Not Christian holidays. Anyways, the idea that religion is a substitute for identity is absolutely false. Christianity helped me embrace who I am culturally who I am as a human being, who I am in society. Christianity is not one person’s religion where in the Bible does it say that it is only for Caucasians? Nowhere! As a matter of fact, Moses’s sister Miriam got leprosy because she was prejudiced towards his black wife.

  • @nzierbohannon4367

    @nzierbohannon4367

    Sorry for the confusion Joshua, but I didn't mean to imply that they are Christain religions. When Christianity is looked at as a whole those holidays are largely synonymous with the religion. I also do not believe that his chosen people are based on color in any shape form or fashion. The chosen people are the people that have had a circumcision of the heart. With that being said we have faith in Yahuah(Name with the best translation from Hebrew Tetragrammaton, I hope it doesn't offend) and because of that faith, we show that we love him by choosing to follow his commandments. His word is all about building a personal true relationship with him through study prayer and obedience out of love. I personally do not use the title Christian because in my object research I believe Jesus Christ to be a pagan deity. For Example, we transliterate names not translate them. We do this with any other person name which is an identifier. If I died to today and was spoken about 100 years from now my name would still be N'Zier in Chinese or any other language for that matter. Doing unbiased research he was not a Caucasian man, and the image that has been used for him does have an origin. I am not going in depth, but those are some basic reasons and I choose to follow learn about the father in complete truth not just partial. With that being said it is my due diligence to understand that Proverbs 1:7 is the foundation. A lot of people that are pushing his color and choosing to call themselves Hebrew Israelites are doing it for selfish reasons, but I simply want to know and depend on him in truth. I am more then willing to strip myself of any false teachings if they are proven to be false by scripture and scripture alone. For me, that means getting into the translations of our bible from the Hebrew Masoretic Text, The Septuagint, and The writings of Josephus because 2 Corinthians 13:1 tells us that there must be at least 2 or three witnesses to everything. Personally, I'm no longer subjecting myself to blind faith. I apologize if I offended you or anyone else, but there are some truths that I believe people need to pray and understand, but not just pray to pray but also include James 1:5-8. This link explains an overview of ''Christianity" and I don't believe all Christians are like this but I'm looking at it form a majority standpoint. This video sums it up in 3 minutes and I suggest everyone try to watch this and do research without racial bias. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fGZr1ptwoty2g84.html

Church and state are not intertwined like they once were in the past so if you live in America, it should be easy for you see how someone could make a political change without ever questioning their religion. If you need an example, look at the dominant society. Their religious views vary greatly, but they all understand who is boss (them) and who is not (people of color).

What you believe about God will influence what you think about everything from family matters to politics. For example in his interview with the breakfast club he spoke about how he doesn't believe black people should marry other races. But if your a Christian you automatically disagree with that ideology. Look at the difference between Martin Luther King and Malcolm x. They fought the same fight but in two totally different ways because of what their belief in God was.

    I beg to differ with you brother. I don't know your ethnic background so i'll use myself as an example. As a black person my African ancestors didn't believe in the concept of heaven or hell as described in the bible and the Quran. My ancestors had a different view of life after death but i don't know what that view was because it was stripped from my lineage first by the Arab invasion of the northern, western and eastern parts of the African continent and then by the slave masters who took my ancestors into slavery. Therefore My views on life after death have been shaped by the religion of my oppressors and not by my original ancestry. So when Dr Umar Johnson speaks about religion replacing our true identities he is talking about our entire world views including our view of life after death. I have attempted to study and understand what beliefs many African communities had/have about life after death but all of them have been completely distorted and corrupted over the centuries by the dominating religions of Islam and Christianity through colonization and it's very difficult to get anybody who doesn't believe that those beliefs were wrong, uninformed and inferior. Those beliefs were black people's true identity and our ancestors had practiced and followed those beliefs and values for many millennia. That is who black people truly are.

However, I am Christian by religion, I believe in Christ Jesus as God the Messiah. You got it wrong, religion in its purest form, doesn't replace your identity, it goes beyond identity. Identity is only the flesh, it passes away. My Christian religion doesn't change my biological lineage, because it deals with my soul, my heart, not my ancestry. Whether I am Luba and someone else is Anglo-Saxon, it has absolutely nothing to do with God. In Christ Jesus, there is neither Jew, Greek, Gentile, man, nor woman. God deals with the soul!

    I agree with you brother. As far as what Dr. Umar said, we can change and adjust religion more and more to the truth of Jesus Christ and there would be a change. Because Christ deals with the soul not the flesh and love overcomes all things.

    The black community should really look into who Hazrat Bilal PBUH was. And who was given the privilege of adding something in the Fajr (Morning) Azaan (Call to prayer) which Muslims will follow till the end of time. Islam may have a lot of problems - because of how today's Muslims are acting not Islam itself - I am ashamed of; but it isn't Racist. I love my black muslims more than my own brown Muslims. It's a matter of pride for me. Just look at Hajj and tell me where is there Racism, or any other Mosque whether it be Sunni or Shia.

    He's take on religion is really false man in Africa religion plays a big role in their life's too even though they know exactly who they are individually. In koweit they are all Muslims and they know exactly who they are plus they are rich as fuck. Religion is not the drug of the poor or the left over religion is the acceptance of a god that's in charge of everything and the recognition that life is temporary and that we will go back to him one day

    The reason that we as a nation of people went into slavery is noted in Deuteronomy 28:15-68.Here we will know everything that is needed for us to know concerning our awful condition as a people, and the medicine for it is noted in Deuteronomy 30:1-7.

    WAUNIAS JUDAH ISRAEL stop misrepresenting the scriptures ,Deuteronomy chapter 28 has nothing to do with the trans Atlantic slaves trade. You need to go back to school and be taught history.Think before you speak or research your information because it Idiotic. To be honest I’m trying not to laugh. Do you understand the Bible or you just guessing .

    Religion is about helping the leader live their best life...spirituality is about helping people live their best lives. I don't need a flawed middle man to God.

    Unlike many religious beliefs there is but one God Most High. Say for instance when I tell people what I feel my mind can be changed but when I stand on the word of Most High the only way I can waiver is that I don’t follow him in the first place. It not about religions it’s about Most High you’re held to a higher moral standard. Most High is not a man that he should lie nor is he a man that he has to repent. Most High is perfect and is above any other so called god. Some think satan is a god but he’s far from it. That’s why people ask you all what you believe they want to know what god do you serve. No one wants to follow a leader and be mislead again. We’ve been through too much for that.

    God first, there will always be problems God said that in his word yet he also said to take heart he is already overcome the world. Our 1st priority is to be born again then seek god's counsel as to how our lives need to move forward. We are too busy worrying about what we want and this is where we get in trouble because we deny what we really need. God is our source in which we receive resources to function spiritually, mentally, physically, financially, politically, and through relationships. You might succeed for a short period of time but in the beginning it was God 1st and in the end it's still going to be God 1st.
