Appreciate your review, been on the fence about Discovery Optics, until your video. It looks make a perfect rimfire prs addition. I'll still test it on my 308 rig as well. I'm a novice long range shooter.

Great review. The budget market keeps getting better!!!👏🏻👏🏻 On the elevation adjustment.. are all the clicks moving the reticle..have seen scopes with “dead” clicks.

HI Dirk! I had no issues with skipping clicks at all. I was honestly shocked at the quality and build of this scope and am actually leaving it on the 6.5 Creedmoor. Thanks for watching my friend!

Hi. Thank you for this review. I 'discovered' Discovery scopes a few years ago. A vender I knew was a large airgun dealer and he has had great success with Discovery. For those that don't know, a good springer airgun can destroy a lot of scopes that easily handle magnum calibers. I've had my PRS for a short time and mounted it on a CZ Varmint 22 Mag. Not to boast, but I have 57 scoped rifles and 26 'spare' scopes. These range from WalMart junk to a Sightron Slll, and there are a lot of older Vortex Viper scopes mounted. These are on Varmint/heavy bbl rifles. All the spares have rings mounted for picatinny rails as are all my rifles. I love swapping glass! This new PRS makes my 6th Discovery scope and although I didn't think that they could be improved, they are getting even better. I was VERY impressed with the packing on this scope. Bulletproof. Now, having said this, I also have both an Arken EP5 and a SH4. I haven't had a chance to do a side by side of the PRS vs the EP5, but my sighting in using a brand new CZ 457 MTR mounting both scopes was a wash. One chap said the turrets on the discovery were like cat food cans. He's NOT far off. ha ha This is the golden age of mid-priced optics. VERY impressive scope! ron

Hi Ron! Man, that's a lot of glass you have and glad you're able to compare so many optics. I was very pleasantly surprised with this Discovery, even up against my TRACT Toric, Razor Gen III and my ZCO. Not saying it's at that level, but for $400, pretty impressive for sure. Thanks for watching my friend!

@@The4GunGuy Hi 4GunGuy, as I mentioned in my past posting, I am VERY happy with my 5-35X56 PRS scope. Guess what? Today I received my new Discovery 5-40X56 35mm tube model direct from the factory in China. If you thought the PRS was big, this one is it's big brother. The only thing I can equate it to, is an aluminum bat from my softball days. The scope arrived quickly, and they provided excellent tracking so I could see it's journey across the water. The packing was the same excellent packing as the PRS. Yes, it has the 3 sunshades and a set of 35mm rings, These rings also have the torque values printed on them, Although I haven't mounted it yet, the supplied rings might be a bit too high for my taste. Being an optics junkie, my spares box yielded a new pair of Miillet 35mm med profile. I have a few Millets with the 35mm tube. I only did a quick view outside and on 40X the eyebox was quite, but that's to be expected. Another home run from Discovery. Oh, BTW, Amazon has a sale on Arken optics and a EP5 is only $330 or so. Wow, I have 2 and thought about grabbing a few more, but I have a hunch something newer might be just around the corner....... ron

I have the Gen 2. Supposed to be even better glass and brighter reticle. Comes with 1 sunshade this time and a 2nd flip up cover for the rear lens. So far I've been very impressed. Still trying to work out the zero stop, not much information out there on how to adjust it, was able to set the zero lock for 50m bit with slightly different ammo its off abit so readjusting is confusing. Maybe you could do something in an update as its the same zero lock?

I'm going to hold off until the price comes down to about $200. When they charge $400 for this, I would rather pay the extra $100 for primary arms.

Except their warranty sucks. I have a Cronus BTR that's defective straight out of the box and they would not repair or replace it because they said the Illuminated reticle defect is normal and only one side of half the reticle Illumination works normal and the other half is noticeably dimmer. I own two Cronus BTR scopes and ones definitely defective and Athlon wouldn't warranty their defective scope straight out of the box and they know and already admitted they're still currently selling these and some have this same defect while others are normal and beware they won't repair or replace it if you get one of the bad ones.

How long does it take to get one from the factory? I ordered the new 5x40x56 35mm tube and it's been 20 days in tracking and it still hasn't left China.
