I like to think of it as a rural community's "disco-teq" getaway for dance parties and raves in a fancy structure as if they were living in the "big city". But maybe you're right and it's a mechanical "Jean Jacket" creature that consumes large mammals by luring them to what it deceptively portrays as a fun party space.

Once again! You never cease to amaze me! Thank you for the 8D experience. I love the song as well as the art! It really pulls me in and I am also inspired thank YOU!!

This is great. I like the positive vibes. We need more positive ambience, not just dark but light. This is a step in the right direction. Discovery is a hopeful thing ingrained in all of us. We need some pioneers in light ambience space/sci fi music. I can't find any hahah

Thanks, glad you like it! There are some positive sci fi artists but not many. I like the theme of space for that. Even if it’s dark it still has elements of beauty and wonder :)

Also check out video game ambience if you haven’t. There’s a channel called Gaming Ambience, they do a lot of Mirror’s Edge videos that are perfect for futuristic light ambience that’s still cool and inspiring :)

Great track, my man. Another exquisite, thrumming venture into a world yet to be. 'Rounding a wet, scrap-filled outcropping, he stopped slack jawed looking at it... a massive network of steel, power lines, servos, and data banks. It was the same machine from his dreams, as if it had finally taken a step from thought into reality. Scanlines bathed him from sensors above and he somehow knew that he was home.'

The 8d thing is awesome. Theres a short video with audio of a dinosaur walking around you and with my bose system and my beats headphones i can hear it the whole way around.

It looks so much like "Borderlands", and "Journey to the Savage Planet" but without the Dessert.

Dimensionality can be quite abstract, from a scientific/mathematic perspective. For example: Time is unequivocally a physical dimension (hence the term "spacetime"). Since music inherently changes with time, has a beginning and an end; music by default can be measured in the time dimension. We can go a bit more abstract, too: Pitch and volume are easy dimensions we can extend our musical measurements into. This means that even "mono" music (as opposed to "stereo") already exists in three dimensions: Time, pitch, and volume. Throw in the three spatial dimensions and we're up to 6D music. I'm no musician, but you can probably quantify a couple more dimensions here (for example, you might quantify shape of the audio 'waveform' - that's at *least* one number) and thus get all the way to 8D music. Anyways, cool track, made for a nice background tune for my debugging adventures.

Interesting perspective and thoughts! I totally see where you're going with that, I just don't think the average person thinks that deeply haha but by what you're saying you could include timbral shifts and emotional shifts as musical dimensions to be experienced. I still think "8D" is a bit of a hype/trend thing with a lack of meaning and intentionality, but I like your interpretation of it :)

He needs a bigger back pack for sure. I don't know what that thing is But PINK?? Now that's an interesting concept. Looks to me like it belongs on the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Don't think even Megalodon would mess with this thing. Just an observation.

Thanks! My images are available along with the music tracks at futurescapes-scifiambience.bandcamp.com , you can generate these kinds of images with generation tools like Midjourney (you just need to learn the prompting system well to get what you want), and Artstation is always the best place to go for these kinds of images from actual artists :)

A cube has 8 corners, if the listener is in the centre, you'd need 8 sound sources to achieve 3d hence 8D?

Well 8 sound sources would simply be surround sound. If there was a sub woofer that would be noted as “8.1 surround”. 3d (and 8d) is using digital techniques to simulate a surround sound environment but still using 2 sound sources (headphones)

More rain sounds! Blah so boring almost everyone puts rain sounds in ambient music and its sooooo boring and unoriginal. There is more to life and ambient than rain sounds.

Haha you should look up why rain sounds are used a lot in ambient/relaxation. A lot of people love it and it has great benefits. Sall good if you don’t prefer it though, most of my videos don’t have rain sounds :)
