Was only a few years ago they came and took the lines and sleepers up, was quite a bit of line when I last walked the route, there was also a siding just past the station I found out looking at old documents

It was a real shame they lifted the track. I'd love to see this line reopenend!

Brilliant, with the aid of Google maps on satellite view it all makes sense now! What a shame they took the line up! What a brilliant thing it would be to have now!

I'm sure if the track was there now people would use it. Maybe with the current trend to see railways reopened Cheadle and Tean might have a chance of getting their railway back.

Tean station had two sidings and a goods shed

That is one of the original lights on team station the you walked past

Went there looking for Cheadle tunnel but never found it(impossible without an O/S map) walked this line instead when track was there. Remember it being close to property etc. Nice see if you can find the tunnel?

Not quite! I found the area above the tunnel but it looks like the access to the tunnel itself is private.

Is there any more information of the tunnel, iv walked there for years, had no idea a tunnel was near by?
