I am a senior citizen now but I can remember when I was a young girl my older brother and his girlfriend would take me and her brother and sisters on camping trips. We enjoyed it so much. I think back and wonder if they took us kids on these camping trips just so the two of them could spend some private time together! !! Good memories!

Wow...this brings back memories! I spent a month hiking the Long Trail years ago. Those trails are no joke...they are pretty rugged and lots of ascents/descents before hitting the summits. I remember thinking "phew, i made it. Dang, false summit!" 😊 thanks for this. I moved to FL from VT last year (totally no regrets), but it is a stunning state. I hope you have a great time!

Thank you SO much for sharing your hike! It is spectacular! It's something I will never be able to do myself, too much physical abuse due to too many young adventures. But I'm not sorry for any of them 😊. So keep posting so I can see our beautiful country through your eyes and camera 😊. Kellie, just a heads up, it's ok, trekking poles take practice. It took me a while to master them. Happy camping 😊.

Higher elevation is why you have dryer cornbread. FYI, cornbread muffins freeze great. You can keep them in the freezer then thaw out/heat up what you need when you need them in the oven on low medium heat! I always keep a gallon baggie of jalapeno cornbread muffins in my freezer. They are good with breakfast too.

Hi, don't give up on the trekking poles. I'm an older hiker and they save the knees on the down hill. But, you are right, they are not so helpful on big rocks. More so for a less technical downhill.

Dudes! Kelly, Your trekking poles didn't have the rubber tips on them, so there was no grip, there was no stopping yourself from moving forward on the down hill and pulling on the up hill, I could hear it, it was like metal on Rock. That's like trying to hike with ice skates. Your poles should have come with rubber "tips" (and baskets for snow and mud) Hopefully you can try them again with the tips on. I have flat feet and a weird back and my hiking poles are the difference between 2 wheel drive and 4X4. Anyway hope you two are doing well, great video, love seeing the fall colors in New England. Made me want Clam Chowder and a lobster roll . 🌲🌲🍂 take care guys!
