In September 2023, I was taken to a remote site in the desert of Saudi Arabia to see a massive and mysterious ancient tomb from the Nabatean civilisation carved out of an enormous boulder two thousand years ago. Discovering this incredible monument was a breathtaking moment. I was honoured to be invited to see this glory of the past as I attended the World Archaeology Summit at AlUla meeting historians, experts, and academics from all over the world. The summit was held in the largest mirrored building on the planet - the Maraya hall - which you can see in this video.
