It is easier to decorate in this style when you keep everything in neutral tones and metal fixtures that complement each other. This is very beautiful.

I love the neutral base then add small dashes of color

I came across this video yesterday and I love it so much especially after Christmas which is the time of year for me that is so much busier and so much more decorated with colors I normally don't use during the year. So coming across this I was so happy to see how peaceful and Serene everything was and so comfy cozy and homey. I'm a pink person at heart so I usually decorate in pink's blush colors and soft sage green I love the pastel look but I am leaning a little more now towards beige creamy color with brown or gold accents and I will be using pink and green accent colors in pastels but probably more towards spring and summer. Thank you for this video and your wonderful ideas. Not everybody has the same taste in colors and style but this one certainly caught my eye. Happy healthy and blessed New Year ......Linda

Don't know about English but I NEED COLOR! Everything I saw looked like farm house which makes me WHITE CRAZY! The Granny Chic video you did recently I thought was awesome. Beautiful colors! I hope we soon get away from all the white a neutral colors.

We do colour!! Calling it cottage and then showing libraries would never happen. Cane furniture has always been used in conservatories or orangeries in grander homes. A cottage is a small house usually with two rooms downstairs and two rooms upstairs. This modern slant from someone isn't quite right if calling it cottage. Im from the UK and live in a cottage with dark furniture - more traditional and loves colour. Ive never known anywhere to be so neutral and washed out over here. Its nice and you can take bits for insiration, but please do not think this is how our houses look.

Each post is so thoughtful and joyful. Thank you for this post.

For my taste, a bit more color would bring it alive. For example, I love the English style wallpaper…

Sadly this really isn’t English Cottage style. Here in the UK there is a lot of faded colour, different textures. a warm lived in earthy feel with treasured old relics and furniture. The neutral theme is more Scandinavian, beautiful but not typically English.

Why would you choose rooms that are all neutral? Except for the gallery walls, this is nothing like true English style. They use a lot of patterns, vivid colors and of course a lot of chintz. Do a little more studying on these true and wonderful eclectic designs. It will open up a whole new world for you.

Never see English cottage rooms all white and beige… they use to be very colorful, but maximalist they are, just like these ones.

Love these photos, but I think I like your English country better. These are all neutral with no color and the designs left no space on the walls “unturned” 😂, your English country video has more lively compositions, for those that enjoy more color! I really thought that cottage design was very colorful…maybe I’m getting it confused with our American cottage design. Thanks again for sharing. Very beautiful content!

It’s blah , no color ! Sick of the “white/cream” theme

I'm sick of all the rattan furniture. This is not English.

I hate constant narration. I'd much rather hear pretty music in the back ground & no voice at all. It's extremely irritating. Will not be revisiting.

Completely love this beautiful relaxing English Cottage video🤎 I love their take on this style which is my preference in home decor and can’t wait to try a couple of ideas they gave me.
