telegraph cove is one of our favorite places to go, we've been there many many times the food and atmosphere of the orca cafe and saltery pub both are amazing you'll never leave hungry . yes you pay for parking and other things it is a resort but if you want to relax you can also one of the best areas for scuba diving . most people expect that they are guaranteed to see wild life lmao they are wild creatures not actors that show up on script . having said that most go with the wrong attitude and are usually disappointed . open your mind relax and actually enjoy the wonderful world around you

I like how the music in the section about the Telegraph Cove buildings sounds like a telegraph haha

I always imagined myself to be someone like James Cameron, but thanks now I feel more like Hans Zimmer 😅

The animals seen at the 11:10 mark are porpoises not orcas.

Heading out there in June with 2 relatives from UK , I already told them no guarantees of whales but they have seen much wildlife on their sojourns in our great country 🇨🇦 Thank you for an excellent video young fella. 🍁 73+ Manitoba hunter Yorkshire expat. Ps:: young fella always keep a pack of Gravel handy for motion sickness. My wife n I have rode 3ft rollers with our kayaks but she got motion sickness in on a catamaran in the Caribbean

Wow thank you so much Derek for your kind words and precious advice on how to avoid motion sickness on a boat! (Catamaran rides in the Caribbean sounds really fun...) I think the whale watching tour I took had some sort of whale sighting guarantee, so I think there will be a very good chance to see whales as long as the tours are heading out! I suggest once you are there, talk to the local fishermen & folks who went out to see if the sightings are good (and also inquire the tour operator on this sighting guarantee if you will be doing whale watching with them) I'm sure you and your relatives will have delightful sightings of Vancouver Island's plentiful wildlife this year and have an enjoyable time!
