In know it's kind of a Civ clone, but there are quite a few little improvements that really add up.

Alex:my city isnt growing that quickly also Alex my city does not need more food

I played the demo for a full night.. i havent pulled an all nighter in YEARS. This game is really good, so many different ways to progress and customize as you play. You never loose a game on turn 1 as you do in CIV if you happen to not spawn in the perfect place etc. i love the way this game handles how you progress the eras and how you tailor your bonuses and focus throughout a game!

I played one game and was bored shitless. Aside from the fantasy ages element, it's an extremely generic and bland 4X offering little new to the genre.

@Razzlion I love 4X games and have been playing them since I first loaded Civ 1 in DOS. That's over 30 years of playing 4X games. Like I said, this game is generic and offers little new to the formula.

@@RobbieEl So you are just jaded and sour then? This game is doing a ton of new things and if you can't absorb that then i don't know what you are on. You must hate every 4x game that has been made in the last 25 years i guess since they are all based on creating towns, building them up and winning the game. So generic and boring.

That combat animation was really bad.

The graphics are absolut shit. Like it’s one of the worst. But after playing the demo the game is actually great. If you can get over the graphics and enjoy 4x games you’ll enjoy this one.

I think there is a list of potential first Capital names not one that is used every time.

Maybe this would be a little bit more noob friendly than Civ? My friends brought me on to play Civ 5 and by the end when everyone declared war on each other one of them was so far up in tech I was like “how badly did you rig this game???” while laughing

It's a smart idea since I haven't been able to stomach anything called civ since civ 4. But so far...it doesn't seem like worth playing.

31:12 nice work Alex; you were like the sea people, who historical devastated ancient civilizations! Also FWIW it would be good idea for future runs to build up your cities and uses those engineering points to build up iron mines (for military) and housing and food resources to get stronger. Cheers mate 🥂

Yet another twist on the base model of Civilization, this one seems to lean more towards the Old World kind of variant, minus the rp family and diplomatic relations.

The game has a lot of potential. Maybe they can change a few things, but it looks good.

Yeah, it's sad that all these game studios just keep recycling ideas that some other game had a decade or more ago. When's the last time someone came up with a truly original game? I can't remember.

14 years and game devs are still regurgitating Civilization 5. Except for the overly cumbersome battle UI, there's nothing here I've not seen for the last decade. What a pathetic waste...

@@Razzlion It looks like a cheap knockoff of Civilizations 5 & 6, with the only addition being that needlessly cumbersome looking combat screen. I can't see anything here to recommend the game over ones I bought years ago.

@@Deathshead419 Then you must be blind my guy. This game has a TON of systems, functions and alterations that make it much better than Civ. The only "downside" is the combat screen, in regards to that they could have just stuck to something similar to civ and just had the models smash togeather instead. But i get that they wanted to show how the different types of units work in a visual way. But its not like the combat screen itself matters at all. Like it has no bearing on ANYTHING.
