Oh wow, around 20 years ago I was taking a dance class at my local community college thst sounds a lot like this, but they called it continuum. I took it several times and to say it was life changing, life affirming, and helped me feel more comfortable in my own body, allowed me to unlock areas that were locked and in pain due to past trauma, and feel safe being myself in ways I hadn’t thought possible is an understatement. I’ve been feeling a deep pull to return to that but unfortunately the class is no longer offered and my former instructor no longer seems to offer classes anywhere I can find. I just found out that this year there’s going to be an ecstatic dance event held within a festival I attend and one of my best friends mentioned wanting to go to it, so I came to google to learn more about what it is about. Sounds like EXACTLY what my soul needs so I’m going to make sure I get the chance to attend. Thank you for this video, I appreciate you ❤

You‘re such a heartwarm soul. Thank you. I need to try estatic dance for sure, cause I felt it to much when you talked about connecting with the music and jo through a whole journey while dancing. I knew this from going to clubbing (super conscious one) and also I have been to something called “therapeutic dance” once and felt in love and felt so free to dance - what scared me for years. ❤️

I just discovered ecstatic dance and I already can't wait to go to my first dance (I found an event in my state tomorrow, yay!!) I've entered a meditative state when dancing before and it's so beautiful and I can't wait to go somewhere that fosters that environment

Greetings, I am so inspired by the healing energy of ecstatic dance. Dance & music has always been my outlet. I am currently physically hurt with a broken toe. As a dancer I’ve had my share of injuries and when we were young, my friends and I would challenge ourselves to create, even while we had injuries. It has led some cool creative moments. To be honest, I’m not immune to the sadness and loss of being somewhat limited and sometimes long healing journeys..so I’ve been a little down… but then..I got called to facilitate an ecstatic dance session and I’m so happy I found you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wisdom, I will be doing the music as well which I am so exited to put together. This first one will be short, so I have a good idea this time of what I will play, but wanted to ask you if you have any recommendations on how to put together a long set? Peace & love.

I literally kissed you while you were speaking about how showing sensuality while dancing was made possible for you through esctatic dance. ❤ Because I relate to this feeling on many levels. And when I am in my space, I am able to dance it out whichever way I feel is good for me in that moment but around people I gey conscious of looking sexy or sensual for the same social constructs as you stated in your video.
