Disconnected From Everything on the Idaho River

Ойын-сауық

We will NEVER get tired of diving into the great American outdoors. This time the BRCC crew headed out onto the Middle Fork and Salmon rivers up in Idaho - five days of total immersion in one of the most beautiful, awesome places in the world.
Great coffee just made the whole thing that much better.

That last 4-5 minutes where Evan was talking about looking at every angle for possible attack while being in serene beauty. That hit home. My release valve was visiting Yellowstone and had a very similar effect as he describes. I'll always love that place for that alone, never mind the astounding and breathtaking scenery. It snapped me out of it. Almost indescribable.

SO COOL! Where you headed 1st? If you have a few a minutes & want to see a super-awesome one, you could check out my big-bro's on his Facebook: Search "Bill Willey, Los Amigos High School". He's pictured with his Maine teen camp kids...AND his dogs~ Scroll to the bottom of his page & it's in the first group of pics he posted (don't worry, he never used it much, so there aren't a lot of photos). It's mounted on top of his VW Bus Camper with his Doggos below (my nieces~ he never had any kids). He was a Level IV Ski Instructor, Search & Rescue EMT & Guide, Rock Climber, Park Ranger (when they were *DESPERATE & BEGGED HIM for HELP, lol),* White Water Raft Guide, Occasional Bar Tender & Chef, Temporary/ Substitute Water Polo & Swim Coach for the High School he STILL HOLDS RECORDS AT & where his niece (my daughter) played on the Boys' Team, bc there was NO Girls' Team (& she wanted to play bc "Uncle Bill played") and the BEST UNCLE to our four kids & BIG BROTHER in the WORLD~ That canoe has been ALL OVER the US: the High Sierras, throughout Utah/ Colorado/ Arizona/ New Mexico/ Nevada (Including the Grand Canyon, the Colorado River, Bryce & Zion Nat'l Parks), the Rocky Mountains, the Grand Tetons, the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Poconos, the Upper Peninsula of Mich., and all throughout Maine. His primary "base" was usually somewhere in the High Sierras during the summer, so we'd schedule our 4 -week vacation around him & when ppl asked what we were "doing for vacation THIS year", our answer never changed: *"UNCLE BILL!"* Wilderness, "Yellow-post" camping is allowed anywhere in Nat'l Parks, without a permit & no fees. When fire danger is "High", obviously, campfires are banned, and when it's "Extremely High" some additional roads are even closed due to the risk of sparks from exhaust pipes, or ppl just being careless (you're no doubt aware of all this; however, very few other folks know that our parks are open to us like this). It is JUST * BREATHTAKING* to live out there for a month, unplugged, so far away from other ppl... HAPPY TRAILS!

Is what anyone, everyone who has ever served, remembers... the community of those who share a common theme. It exemplifies why your brand and company is so successful. Thanks for taking me along on just a glimpse of the journey. Semper Fi.

Such an amazing come up story for a bunch of people who made a living defending this country. But what's truly amazing is the recovery and peace you've all found. Not only in yourselves, but how you support other veterans, law enforcement, and other first responders. Bless you all, may you have continued success in all aspects of life. Fyi....your coffee is badass and my son lives off your rounds in his Koureg while attending college. He plays division 2 football, (center) and is taking his pre veterinary school courses. RV'd through Idaho late July 2009. Beautiful country. In fact, a lot of our continent is just absolutely amazing. Hell, even Canada has some nice scenery. I'm looking at you, Yukon. Alaska is the cherry on the cake, but the water is just impossibly cold. Seriously, I was told it freezes at 32 degrees, but I'm not buying that shit anymore. Fuck St Louis though. Best view of that place is in your rear view mirror.

My brother worked in construction and one of his bosses used to take the boys out for fishing trips and let them use his fishing boat just about anytime they wanted. You guys rock, and I appreciate the awareness you are spreading about veterans and what they might have to offer other employers. You take good care of your people, and they will move the world for you.

when I was stationed at Mtn. Home AFB, ID I had the pleasure being part of the Outdoor Adventure Program and was taught to be a whitewater boatman and run the rapids along the Snake, Payette, Boise, and the Salmon rivers, with the Salmon being on the river 7 days straight, which the Air Force granted me TDY (no extra pay) to do. I was also selected to be part of a crew for a Grand Cannon run in AZ, but got Orders to be deployed to South Korea and couldn't make it. this was back in the 80's. The Salmon is a great river and the Salmon Falls is a great rapid run.

Great video! I am so happy for you guys and your company! :) My disconnect is at the beach, outer banks near Hatteras. I love to sit in the pool and read science fiction fantasy in the pool under an umbrella so I don't have to put lotion on. Breakfast, pool, lunch, pool, grill or smoke dinner and sit in the hot tub. Every other day we drive to the beach and setup our camp next to the truck....and I fish. The wife reads and gets sun. One vacation a couple of years ago, I read 13 books in 14 days. I don't read any other times really. You have a great company and awesome people! Don't lose that as you grow larger and larger! Keep making awesome videos! Love em! Be safe.

You know I got to experience something like this when I was like 15 (I’m 20 now) with my Boy Scout troop. We spent 7 days on the Colorado green river. Our trip was on more of a budget but it was tons of fun. Super pretty too. Did a lot of growing up on that trip since I was the senior patrol leader and I was in charge of all the boys. One really wimpy annoying kid started to come into his own too a bit before his dad started coddling him again. 20 people went on that trip too. It wasn’t as smooth as this trip seemed as we went during monsoon season and that complicated some stuff. The river also barely moved so it was lots of paddling. Watching this video reminded me of how lucky I am that I got to go on that even tho some of it was really hard and I was tried time and time again, I wouldn’t change a thing about that trip. Instead I just want to go on more.

Great trip guys. Thanks for bringing us along. And Heather appeared totally normal during her brief cameo, which we all know isn't normal.

Thank you for sharing this! Just watching that video released some of the stress. I will turn 50 in 2 years, and I'm planning a canoe trip on the lower Mississippi river, and that just put the fire back in me to go do it! Thanks for all your videos, they are always entertaining. SEMPER FI!
