Hi James, if your looking through for possible disc rot, check the Warner Brothers disc first as they had a period where they used inferior bonding agents on the disc and films manufactured during that time frame are subject to disintegration between layers and the dreaded rot. Ahh it’s always nice to have an organise through the collection, nice one mate and good luck with the search👍😃👍

Hi James, i have recently been picking up dvd's again, I am big on extra's so i only keep the dvd's if they have different extra's. For example i picked up Krull a while back, The Blu-ray has no extra's but the dvd did so that was a bonus for me. Thanks for the video buddy.

Thats also a big factor for me, the diffrent extras often dont have time to check them all out to see if diffrent, plus menu on that dvd is great, im pretty sure rot is going to spread so six months time I may add an update.

I have had aleast 5 blu rays that no longer are recognized by multiple disc players

@@MovieMad1 I have seen parts on TV over the years I do like Kevin Costner movies

WB DVD big problem with disc rot, had to throw alot of mine away from WB that's when I decided to upgrade to Blu-ray and 4k. I even had mint looking DVD'S from WB that would not play anymore. They went through a period of time taking short cuts with the disc quality

@@MovieMad1 I would say so, especially if it's a recent development. It will probably get bigger over the next few weeks or so. You can go online and get a full list of WB titles that are effected, there's quite a few.
