This was so crazy! It was nice seeing so many big names compete, this tournament specifically always a very difficult one but they did great! Thanks for watching!

Qualifing and playing a one game match are too different things! Qualifying you have another chance for success. Number one seed is very different because your opponents will have the advantage of had playing games on the pattern before you do. So top seed isn't always the best place to be if playing a one game match.

True. I believe they had a statistic up one time that showed that second seed had a much higher win% than first seed in the stepladder format.

ball rep should have had him ripcord in second frame, AJ threw venom and it did not work for him in second match... difficult pattern over under always better with too much ball it is the light hits that kill you...

I really don't understand EJ's attempt at that 2-4-8. Wouldn't you want your balls momentum heading towards the sleeper? Move right, aim a bit left towards the spare.

Easy to blame equipment, but I'd wager he'd have left them a long time ago if he felt that was the issue. Motiv pieces may match up to him better than anything else.

@@matthewstoker224 He's Motiv's biggest draw and their only true superstar so it's easy to see why he is reluctant to leave...however another woeful performance last last week's and he will be running for a new ball manufacturer... Barnes made a ball change and it woke up his game as did Rash...although Rash may have other things to consider besides equipment...

Strange take. EJ led the field by over 500 pins in qualifying. Same balls. He didn’t make great shots during the finals. Happens. Just gut wrenching when he had such a big lead all week. Different houses favor different characteristics/ball motion.

I think it’s just because of a coincidence and the fact that EJ had been struggling on TV since July of 2020. He just needs to do better on his mental game on TV.
