Disassemble and Tune-up CDJ-2000 or 2000nxs
Ойын-сауық
Overtime the springs under the jog wheel lose their bounce, and can collect a lot of dust, hair, drinks, etc... Use this video to help you give your CDJ a tune up and stretch the springs and clean it up.

seriously.... thank you! , thank you for everything! . Thank you for the time and effort that went into making the video , and also thank you for your willingness to give others a helping hand . god bless!
I just did this on my recently bought 2000nxs and let me tell you folks, it was one of the most terrifying things I've ever done lol It did work though.
Thank you very much, you saved my venue for tonight !
Helpful. I had the buttons above the screen start to melt on me from an outdoor gig in Ouray Colorado, and had to replace them. Your vid didn't explicitly cover this part, but you got me 80% of the way there.
Thank you @SoxxiMusic, very precise and in-depth presentation !
Thanks so much for the video! My deck is as good as new after a good clean and tune up.
Thank you so much, one of my jog wheels has been acting so mega wack this week so def gonna try and do this today. Thank you for the video !
nice job. worked like a charm on my old 2000
I just did this on my Nxs . Thanx for your time!!
Amazing video this is exactly what I was looking for!!! Thanks!
Thank you very much. I´ll have to renovate some parts of my Jogwheel and your Video helps a lot.
thank you so much for showing this ! really helpful :)
thank you for the tutorial amazing work
thanks for your video. very helpful
Wow, awesome. Thank you!
Great tutorial. I wonder if you might also know how to fix a loose jog wheel tensioner? WHen i turn the tension turning the jog wheel loosens the tension back to about half way.
Thanks you 🥰
I just fixed mines.. thanks
Lol "white strip" AKA. Ribbon cable!
thanks Soxxi! in 2023 this worked on a cdj 2000 for me. a bit fiddly getting the whole jog wheel platter in and out (and then back in) but with patience i got it done:) now the CDJ's vinyl mode is back to working as expected ( though if you over stretch the springs a bit, as i think i did, then you have to push harder to keep it 'scratching' - i assume placing a book (or similar) on the platter for a bit might help it lower again.... not a big deal for me... just wanted to nudge the jog wheel without accidentally scratching (in vinyl mode). the springs were about 15mm when i started and i think i got them to about 18mm. but maybe 17 would have been a bit better? anyway, im sure with time or a book on the platter they will loose a little height one thing i didn't notice you say is that the 2 screws near the end with the RCA (audio) outputs are slightly shorter than the other 5 screws from the underside... but you can see that when you compare them nice:) thanks:)
Helpful thanks,I did cleaned up all my platter, does anybody knows how to fix repair or replace the track searchlight?the one on the search knob,Thanks.,
Thank you
Can I follow this method for cleaning the dust from my DDJ-1000 controller LCD screens?
Wish there was a video like this for the power supply. My 2000 was working great and then it just stopped powering on. Tried a different power cable and it came on then shut off. Wiggled the cable it tried to power on then shut off. Now no power cable will work.
It seems my cdj 2000 nexus runs in vinyl mode even when set to cdj mode. Jog wheel pitch bend is very sensitive and noticeable, more than it should be. Could this be a “spring related issue” which could be sorted with a stretch fix as your video shows?
Thanks so much for posting this! The hot cue buttons on my 2000 NXS is mushy and I'd like to service it myself. Have you attempted to do this yourself? Any pointers if so?

Do you happen to know how to fix the leds for the on air display in the jog wheel?
Hi, maybe u can help me, i have a problem with my cdj 2000 non nexus(2010) the sound comes out a little low, i tried to change the RCA module(JACB assy part number:dwa2988) and also ribbon cable(13P FFC part number:DDD1484) but the sound stills coming out at low volume, any ideas? Thank you, keep making videos!!! Matias
Great video but for future you should NOT do it on a carpet. The electro static your generating can ruin those circuit boards and you wont even see it or know about it. Just a heads up for the next time you do any electronic work.
it was gross.... That made my day =)
hello I have a pioneer ddj sx controller and the jhock does not scrash, is it similar to cdj? Can you make a video about that? thanks
My cdj stopped reading cds after I put everything back together. I followed instructions exactly how you did. Didn’t touch anything that had to do with the cd reader. Can anyone think of any reason?

Did you figure this out?
Springs dont shrink over time. They shrink wen they are used a lot, a very lot.
Guy's, if this doesn't inspire you to work on your own equipment yourselves then I don't know what to tell you. No disrespect to the girl in the video.
