Worked at The Racquet Club, a tennis resort in Palm Springs that no longer exists. One employee who had worked there since it’s earliest days would tell me about all the wife swapping, swinging, and 0r6¡€$ that went on between the Rat Packs’, and other stars of the era’s wives & lovers. They really got down back in the day!

I have stayed at a lot of 5 Star Hotels and at the end of the day, they are a business. Be nice to the staff and they will be nice to you. I have been given bonuses just by being polite. Got upgraded once before my wife arrived at a Conference and she was happy but the CFO was not. He tried to pull rank and I tore into him and reminded him that he worked for me. I was an at the RN at the medical organization we worked for and reminded him that it was his job to make sure I had all the materials I needed to do my job. Good times.

You only get welts from bed bugs if you are allergic to them. Some people aren't allergic and don't get the welts.

I worked at one where an electrician was electrocuted in the basement causing a huge power outage in the hotel. I was checking ppl in by battery lights and a generator. I think dude died but they wouldn't say.

From what I'm reading the only difference between a five-star hotel and any other hotel is the clientele and what amenities the hotel offers. Other than that not much of a difference.

The activities of guest may be similar, but the hotel itself is more likely to not involve law enforcement since the folks causing damage have deep pockets to pay for the damages. Verses a cheap hotel when guests start breaking things they know there is only so much the nightly deposit will cover and they may not be able to get more money above the deposit. However, if you were meaning the quality of the hotel, no, the quality is vary different. The beds, pillows, bathroom, decor etc are soooo much better in nicer hotels. I've seen rooms with a separate shower & deep bathtub with heated floors and a TV in the bathroom. Amazing.

​@@nleem3361No no, when I said amenities I meant the quality of the stuff the hotel had to offer. The quality of their stuff and their clients are different but the way the clients act is essentially the same as in a low quality hotel.
