Weird. Just thought tonight, “Wonder if there’s any new Dirty Loops reactions”…and here you are. Also a drummer so even more stoked for this reaction video.

Yes!! I’m here for those comments and analyses of Aron in particular, and Dirty Loops in general :) Not a drummer myself, but absolutely loving everything that Aron does, and how he drives this super trio. This track was released on 2014, part of their first double album Loopified, their first original too, and it hit so hard back then. And still does 🔥 Jonah’s singing… 😲😱 and he doesn’t even see himself primarily as a singer (or a pianist for that matter). Although he’s been singing in his parents’ choirs virtually from age 1, he only got into lead singing at a later stage, when another lead singer dropped out from a band, and they asked Jonah who’d done backing vocals and keys till then, if he wanted to cover for him…. What gets me is the way in which all three carry rhythmical patterns on in their parts, be it those fire triplets or other subdivisions and patterns. Say something features in Aron’s fills: Henrik might play a similar fill afterwards, or Jonah continues it on keys…. Also, with that groove, that four on the floor, they make it stand out in a way by layering it with contrasting rhythms in Jonah’s or Henrik’s parts. Especially Jonah, I find, sings or plays so often deliciously ‘across the beat’, and makes that pocket all the more effective. Not sure if this makes sense-. I’m glad you’ve mentioned Larnell in the same breath as Aron, he is one of my drummer heroes. And as a drummer, wouldn’t you thrive with a bassist such as Henrik? Dream team. You’d get by on 4 hours sleep per night for the rest of your life 😉 Really appreciated that reaction and can’t wait for more from Dirty Loops on your channel! Pretty much everything they do will equally blow your mind. ‘Sayonara Love’, their cover of “Wake Me Up” (wait for the end 🔥), -heck, everything they’ve ever done is mind blowing! 👍👍👍

One of my favorite songs where Aaron really shines is the "way she walks" .His solo in that song is phenomenal. I think it's even better that work shit out

Enthusiasm and knowledge, and really nice with someone setting the spotlight on Aron, he so deserves it. To bad no-one can comment on his video editing skills, I wonder how good they are; works for me! Maybe a song from Songs for lovers next, like Coffee break is over (no vocals though, they are just having fun on their instruments)?

There's a video on Universal Music Japan's YT page with Aron doing a tutorial of sorts of his drumming on this song. Hopefully the link will post.

Great reaction. Im sure everyone else said to check out "work shit out" by them because of the sick drum solo.

I just noticed another time Akane of BAND-MAID held on of her sticks almost in the middle. It's right at the end of her drum solo in 'Freedom' LIVE. I never really noticed until now.

I love your reaction! So smart. But I think you're missing another perspective and that is what Henrik Linder is doing on his 6-string bass guitar. Chords, arpeggios, slapping, etc. It's a brilliant, pedagogy-changing performance. Not to mention highly imaginative chord changes. We all have our perspectives as musicians. Just wanted to mention that. BTW, if you've not checked out other songs (covers and originals) check out: "The Way She Walks," "Accidentally in Love," "Ta Fete" (cover), "Baby" (cover,), "Ta Fete" (cover), "Undo" (cover), "I'm Lost in You," "Work Shit Out," "Rock You," "Die for You," "Take on the World," and more. Welcome to Dirty Loops' rabbit hole!

These guys are incredible. I saw them last Saturday playing live in Prague. It was a music bar, so a small venue where you could be pretty much in the middle of everything. And the best of all, after the show they came out to meet us to chat, sign some merch, and take pictures. It was so exciting.

As for the sound quality they are produced by Quincy Jones soooo 😎

Quincy Jones is only their manager though. They produce everything themselves, with the help of Simon Petrén, and they've said in at least one interview that they don't send Quincy Jones anything, not even demos, until they're all done with a song, video and all. 😊 Also, when Hit Me was released they were still with David Foster, so at that point Quincy Jones had even less to do with it.

@@alexreid4131 Yes, as their manager. He doesn't have anything to do with the actual creative work though, as a producer would. And for this particular song (or anything released before the Phoenix EP) he wasn't involved in any way whatsoever, as that was before he started managing them.
