The man can sing, the man can compose, the man can play the keys. And everything on a really high level. Jonah is incredible.

"Eargasms in Heaven" took me all the way out. He understands, though LOL! Aron's drumming is superb and the way that bass run towards the end snatches me back every time...they're not human.

Ending real sudden like is kind of a Dirty Loops thing...leaves you wanting more. Quincy Jones said of Jonah "Yes he sings with soul but he's also got one of the greatest vocal ranges I've ever heard." One of the most enjoyable reactions you've done. Much enjoyed and much appreciated.

Hahaha, your face when it ended was glorious. They truly are masters at creating magnificent and unexpected outros and endings. And the drums are SO good in this one that I don't even know where to start. I constantly go back and play some of the fills over and over and over and ... :D

Thank you, thank you! I'm as obsessive about Dirty Loops as I am about VoicePlay. Couldn't be more different - but both absolutely at the top of their game and awe-inspiring. Loved your reaction. Aaron is the drummer, Henrick is the bass. Never paid much attention to either bass or drums until they came along, now I'm transfixed. Do NOT miss Follow the Light (Dirty Loops w/ Cory Wong). Just extraordinary.

‘Sub-division’ is the term you were looking for when describing Aaron’s drumming. Love the way they build this sad ballad to such a triumphant ending

Sub-division is a better term, but it's still not quite what I was looking for. I think more along the lines of polyrhythm maybe. It's on the tip of my tongue haha

Jonah was classically trained on piano. Aron( drummer) Henrick ( bass) initially they just played their instruments. Someone asked Jonah if he sang? And this is how it came to be. Beautiful voice

@@mstewart109 yes, Henrik (bass) initially started as a pianist, then changed over to bass when he was 11years old or so… And yes, all three of them are musical geniuses. Those three interviews with Jeff and Jonah Nilsson on Stratele Studio’s KZread site are super interesting and were a real eye opener for me ☺️

Perhaps you might consider reacting to another Quincy Jones discovery: Vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/composer/arranger/producer/multi-grammy-award-winning artist Jacob Collier. I’d recommend any of rhe following to start: “Moon River”, “Don’t You Worry ‘bout a Thing”, “All Night Long”, “Don’t You Know” (Snarky Puppy feat. JC)

Yeah, they got so many comment on the videos of Work Shit Out, Next To You, and Rock You, about Henrik’s wall of EBS cabinets, that for this one (and also World On Fire) they did the complete opposite, with the smallest EBS cabinet and a tonne of mics (and, as you pointed out, even one on the D.I. Box, just because). They are so funny. 😁
