Dirtbike From The Top Of Cliffhanger

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Got a call while I was over in Colorado picking up Lilli for a damaged dirtbike on top of the Cliffhanger Trail. Told them we could run in in the morning to grab it. Customer asked how I would get it out and I said on my trailer. Which they followed up with my favorite line 'you can't take a trailer in there'. So the next morning Lilli and I loaded up in Trailmater and Mike followed us in Wile E. So we ran up to the top, passed the actual cliffhanger obstacle and got the bike, brought it back down to the shop and the customer picked it up later. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

How a girl her age can feel relaxed enough to sleep, with a thousand foot cliff two feet to her side of the wrecker, is nothing short of astonishing. Come to think of it, she was with her dad the day Shawn was being towed out of Kane Creek and the trail gave way beneath his back wheel. I still get shivers thinking about that video. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mWp8xcGdpLGxgps.html

The shot of Lilly sleeping while bouncing over rocks, precious, no fear totally trust in dad. She should have some great adventure stories to share with classmates when school starts in Fall. Unrelated a story my teacher refuse to believe when I was her age, weekend sailing trip on a 70-foot schooner, island of Guam, while returning to the harbor ahead of us a large round object popped out of the ocean into the air about 20'. I informed my dad, he was talking with other friends, there was about thirty of us on the sailing vessel, he looked at the object in the water, his face turned white jumps up, said something I cannot repeat, ran to the helm station informed the owner/captain of the sailing vessel that we had a magnetic mine in the water that ahead of us. We needed to alter course. The schooner was a steel hull. After we got back into the harbor the captain of the vessel owner informed the United States Navy and they sent patrol boats out and blew up the WW2 Japanese mine 1942. This was in 1962, during show and tell in school on Monday. Teacher told me to sit down and shut up, I was lying. During lunch recess she went and spoke with my mother; to complain about me who also taught school in the same school. Saying that I had too vivid of an imagination. My mother said, everything he said is the truth and I also was on that sailboat.

For a single bike recovery, the trailer is a bit of overkill. Have you ever thought of a hitch mount bike carrier. You could design and build it, maybe use the boom to load it. I think it would decrease the time it takes to do a recovery considerably. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work. You constantly blow my mind with your off-road and mechanical skills.

Yay!!!! Lilli's here! Trust me, kids think *everything* is boring, but they will remember it as a good time, eventually. Took my son to 'Vegas @ 16 yo, bored out of his mind. Went to Red Rock, the dam, Nellis AFB, Valley of Fire, Zion, Bryce, Arches.... FIVE YEARS LATER, he mentions "that was a cool vacation." AYFKM??? So he did enjoy it, even though he whined about no internet the entire time...

That rear dig to lever the trailer over was astounding. I cannot get over the capabilities of Rory and Trailmater. I would have sworn that line was done.

You know that Lily is jaded, because who else could sleep while traversing a trail with drop-offs that go for thousands of feet, and boulders the size of houses. She puts a lot of trust in Rory!

Rory takes care of Lily NO doubt at all: at 12:45 for the absolute ACE move to get the trailer down the BIG bump - Lily is not in TM - safe with her butterfly net just down the track :)

Most people saying watch this equals damage or pain. Rory says it and people are amazed by the skill.

That reverse rear dig while steering the opposite direction to move the trailer over was epic. Nobody else would ever dream of doing that, but Rory just has another tool in the toolbox, as common as a screwdriver.

Don't forget to teach Lily that the S turns on the way were built that way because the road designer was named Steven Schmidt. He wanted to see his initials on the map. - Grandpa lore.

Rory your stories reminds me of the couple that was running the campground at Goblin Valley. Over the years we would talk and I learned that her family had homesteaded in the area and he had been a uranium miner. Her sister’s name is on the wall in The Great Gallery and he told me a lot of cool places to explore.
