As an on and off MT subscriber, I can tell you the discovery shows are trash. I only watched engine masters, Dirt everyday, roadkill, & hot rod garage. The discovery shows are cancer as they’ve always been and edited in that terrible reality show style. The new uploads are far in between so I’ll binge the good originals but soon be out of new content to watch so I unsubscribe and give them some time to catch up.

@@docholliday9791 Yes, there is. The shows that used to be on youtube have the episode from 2 months before the current one available for free. It has been this way for 1.5 years.

Bout time there was a FULL EPISODE after they REMOVED EVERYTHING THAT I EVER LOVED

What is going on a free show on KZread. Wow that sounds like a good idea. I wonder if that has ever been done before. Finally a free show instead of strong arming people that helped build this show popularity.

Jeepin' Jake you do realize that KZread pays add revenue as well as what they make off of sponsors.... So an episode like this will still make MotorTrend money. They were just greedy and wanted all the money so they moved their high ticket items to their own platform.

Not to mention the episodes go free on the MotorTrend app anyways for a set period of time. Why not make your money "MotorTrend exclusive" then when they go free upload them to KZread.

The subscription was the best $5 I ever spent. I signed up way back when a subscription was how you got to see the episodes early. It's an addiction.

I paid for motor trend for a year but 90% of the shows are geo locked for us Aussie viewers because foxtel has the contract And their site is massively bandwidth hungry and I could never do more than 20min without buffering

I used to. The magic is gone. Honestly the only thing I genuinely enjoy watching is Top Gear. Edit: Enjoyed. Haven't paid in almost a year.

VEMCO V-Drive System. Developed by Dana in the 1970’s, the V-Drive system was originally designed to add 4-wheel drive to Chevy vans, Blazers, and station wagons and to keep the drive height low. The idea didn’t catch on with Chevy, so someone allegedly bought the rights and started the Vehicle Engineering and Manufacturing Company (VEMCO). In the pantheon of amazing dirt every day builds, this one stands out. You guys knocked this one out of the park.

Man I watch these and think, All I really want is for my TJ to go another 20 years.....and air lockers....and Dana 44's....with 4.56 gears....and 33"s..and a Brute conversion. LOL. Thanks guys for the entertainment and the dream. Maybe you could do a build of my white 2004 TJ? That would be awesome!

If anyone is wondering the basic differences between hypoid and spiral bevel, the SB meshes into the ring gear at the center of the gear. Hypoid meshes off center. Just sticking some knowledge out there 👍

Fred, just put an orange triangle at the rear, and tell the cop it's a tractor. You can drive a tractor on the street (up to 25mph, but still....) with an orange triangle.

If you guys could seperate the finances properly I'd happily pay monthly for just DED and Roadkill (assuming the trailers in this video aren't indicative of 'improvements' that have been made). No way will I ever help fund anything related to the Discovery channel though, those clueless clowns are the reason people were so hungry for MotorTrend's content in the first place!

I'm not into trucks or offroading but I used to watch these guys all the time just to see what crazy stuff they were going to do. Then motortrend got involved and tried to get money from all the people who supported Fred and Dave in the beginning.
