I love these budget builds. Now I just need someone to donate Rockwell axles, wheels and tires and everything else they get free.

Yeah you'll have 5k in wheels and tires. Let alone a set of Rockwells. Not very budget friendly

The end was cool but you blew through the build so quick I didn't get my wrenching fix .

The v10 seemed to handle the nitrous pretty well, and she bogged hard too.

Dave and Fred have the best jobs on the planet.

Love this build, would like to see more on the nitrous set up, and front axel upgrades, as I have a 1998 V10 with 40” irocks on 8 1/2” lift, need long arms,and lockers next

When the nitrous was hot those tired digged so much more, the amount of mud and water being thrown doubled, that right there was awesome, when in doubt hit the button

I think you got more wrapped up in tires and wheels then the whole truck. Love it, prioritized

The V10 in the Viper has an aluminum block the truck engine has a cast iron block

its way stronger and revs lower so it can handle nitrous pretty easily and reliable. the V10 viper not so much. it can handle a 300HP shot with no problem but thats pushing it on an aluminum block

When he showed the Problem on the air intake to mount the nitrous nozzle and adapt a snorkel I instantly thought run the the hardware store and build it from PVC. Next shot there it was sticking out of the hood. Great minds think alike.

Did you know that apart from having 10 cylinders and the same displacement as an 8.0L viper those two engines do not share any common parts. The magnum v10 is a 5.9L magnum with two more cylinders where as the viper engines were built from the ground up with help from Lamborghini

The viper and magnum engine are Nothing alike.

Hi MotorTrend! Why is it ok to show this on KZread, but you aren’t allowed to offer the same show on MotorTrend with access to Australia?

So between Alabama and California the tires were removed, the rear suspension got linked, the axle was not just repaired but linked, and hydrosteered, and there’s a few differences to the bumper and cage. We not gonna mention any of that?

I’m worried people will discover the v10s but considering current gas prices I’m not too worried at the same time lol. I’ve thought on the idea of using 3/4 ton chassis with a 5.7 hemi but probably won’t act on it but I am a fan of my dads v10

@@R3TR0--93 yeah gas prices of trucks turns away a lot of buyer tho. I imagine a lot of people looking into trucks currently are being turned away by gas mileage if they are going to daily drive it a good amount of distance. I drive a 2000 durango with a 5.2 and I do city driving so mileage is kinda bad but now I’m driving my 300zx and liking it better because 1. It’s sporty and 2. I get an extra 7/8 miles a gallon and it’s twice the fun

Yes the magnum v10s are completely different than the viper engines. They barely share anything but the displacement

The 2 engines are very similar because the vipers v10 is based off that v10 out of the ram 2500

Really the V10 in the trucks are nothing like the Viper V10 the only thing that's the same is that they are V10 engines everything else is different

None of the Motortrend guys seem to care about what they are doing anymore.
