Hi Fred....of course all of us hate that DED has been cancelled but honestly a 30 minute show with all of the commercials doesn't beat getting to see you in the shop Every Day! Hopefully you and Dave can do some crazy videos together pretty soon.

Fred, this makes for great video!! I would much rather see content of you doing your thing in the shop a few times a week than a cooperate show that rarely uploads compared to what it used to be when it first started. This is much better!

Hey Fred I picked up my 2004 Rocky Mountain TJ 100% due to your first videos, my wife laughs as I drive around With a big grin. It’s in pretty good shape although I’ve been doing a few surface rust repairs surprise ignition switch failure…, I’m no mechanic with a few KZread clips I can genuinely figure it out including a bad clock Spring. I literally (like I wrote about it lol) had never heard of a clock spring. Tks again for the keeping going.

Please keep doing what your doing.. lol would love to see something of a stupid build. I remember you once did something with a motorhome frame.. if I remember correctly.. anyhow. Thanks for sharing

Yo super Fred, Firstly keep up the good work and motivation👍. Secondly I know Dirt Daily was kinda an offshoot off DED, but don't be afraid to give us multiple days work and less tutorial. I think most people are here to support you and Dave while keeping up with your projects on the whole, and see your adventures. If you haven't seen her videos yet check out Sara - N - Tuned, she does restoration and vehicle reviews and keeps everyone entertained with quirky humor, and good video edits.

Fred , we should make a compilation of the bolts put in locations that cause extreme difficulty to perform a task , like the 10mm bolts located in such a way that I had to remove the entire front Fascia to get to them out to replace the turbo on my Wife's Saab 9.5

I know you guess have probably done it before but you always seem to do it with a complete drive train replacement. Can you do a video on a nv4500 5 speed overdrive transmission swap in place of a granny geared 420 or 465 4 speed in a GM pick up. I have a 72 k20 with the usual 350 , 4 speed and the 205 transfer case …all cast iron. There seems to be some confusion on going with a hydraulic clutch or keep the mechanical clutch linkage , the 10 spline adapter between the transfer and trans. Also the adapters between bellhousing and transfer.

Yikes. I've had XJs all my life, and a CJ5. I had been thinking about getting a JL (to be honest a project just like this would be pretty cool) but the look of that trans cooler and bizarre exhaust, both the resonator by the rear axle (maybe downstream catalyst?) and the loop the y-pipe does next to the trans it all just looks way too complicated to enjoy and service in my own garage for both daily AND recreational use. Maybe I'm just spoiled on the simplicity of older Jeeps. I'm also not fond of the idea of tangling with Rzeppa joint driveshafts.

Keep up the great work and content Fred. While I enjoyed the DED with everything that is in me, I am subscribed and will follow along with you and Dave both. Not sure what happened with Motor trend. But I feel like they did the viewers dirty when they stopped putting things on YT and made everything about the Paid MT TV. Sounds like they did ALL of their content makers dirty...

I'm realizing that between you and Dirthead Dave, Dave is a little farther ahead as far as going independent. Having a production crew makes it much easier for the main characters. When the show is over, you can see who was ready to go independent when the party's over.

Mechanics should be able to punch engineers everytime they make a dumb design. I bet they would make things easier to work on then.
