Good tube info. I always tighten the nut on my tubes, but I also have two rim locks. Always use the extra heavy duty in my XR650L. Run the heavy duty in my CRF250X. Good stuff!
Excellent advice,thks.JHB-SA.
How does tube thickness affect heat in tire for road riding, and What tube sealant is recommended (if any)
This is really helpful, thanks.

Glad it was helpful. Thank you!
Very helpful and informative. Great beard!
What does it mean to have a centered or off set tube
What would you prefer bridgestone ultra heavy duty or michalin ultra heavy duty
Does tyre height matter? Got an IRC tube that says 110/100-18M, 130/80-18M, 140/80-18M, 4.00/ 4.50-18M, 4.60/5.10-18M. My tire size is 120/80-18. Does the tube fit? If I only look at inches it should fit but the width/height combination is not mentioned. How important is tyre height when choosing a tube? I love inch specs because they don't mention the tyre height, but I am a little bit unsure if this fits and is safe because it's my first tyre change that I'll do by myself (tubes are very old so I will change replace).
funny but I got more pinch flats on heavy duty then regular :) so I use regular most of the time now, they are lighter and more flexible. Also din't find patched tube any weaker then new one.
Excellent info however I have a question that I was hoping to get answered in the video. What is the difference between TR-4, TR-6 (Stem size perhaps?)

Chaparall has a video that explains that. Search for Motorcycle Tire Tube 101 - Sizes - Thicknesses - Valve Stems - Compounds - Brands
I , being absent from dual sport bikes since the 70’s…👴🏻… have seen some tubes not legal for street use! What is the reasoning behind that?
Any difference in patching a synthetic rubber tube over a natural rubber tube?

Not that I'm aware of.-Chase
What do the numbers on the actual tube mean? For example, the numbers on my tube say “4.25/4.50/5.10-18” Obviously this is an 18 inch tube and the other numbers are inch measurements, but why does my tube have three numbers before the diameter size? Thanks RM!

Those are just widths that that tube will be compatible with also. You will see some tubes that will have a range on them just letting you know that the tube will work with tires that are 4.25" to 5.10" wide. Hope that answers your question!
i got a tube 90/90/19 and my tire is 110/90/19 that means i cant do amything with that tube?

You could still run that tube. It's not ideal but it could work. In any case, it's always best to run the same size tube as your tire or as close as possible.
