Hi I have a 2001 Rm 125. I was riding the other day and the chain come off in 3-4th gear and stalled my bike out. Today was my first day back on the bike after replacing front and back sprockets as well as a new chain. They are the correct STOCK parts for the bike and the chain has 112 links counting rollers. The bike had a spell of shifting out of 1st gear and shifting back into neutral while riding today. This only happened 3-4 times. I then decided I would "open her up" when I did, I found myself having to "up-shift" more than once on several of the gears to get it to go into that particular gear. It done this through all the gears. It didn't do it everytime I went through the gears just occasionally. I need this problem resolved before I put her back on the track. The trans oil is about 8 hour old Belray oil. I do not ride really hard either. What should I do to resolve this problem?

i have zzr600 1994 e2 i had a problem with a gearbox. fork and teeth broken i buy in ebay the used part but nice condition. when i assemble the parts and return the enggine. in start all had alright after 1 mounth i felt a jump from the gear .like before the restoration. i disassembly the clutch and i saw two bolt philips m6 that hold the plate hold the drum loose. i not read in my manual that need a threadlock loctatite in thats bolt. i want ask wich loctite needs to puts loctite 242 or somthings else im afraid from the damage the gear in the second time thanks

Great video on this. Exactly what I needed. I am putting my 2003 rm125 back together and having trouble with the transmission. If you have any more transmission videos I would love to see them so I can get this right ??

Suzuki DR 250 sat for years, changed oil and will not go past 2nd gear. It was jetted for riding in the mountains from previous owner. The bike is idling high, what would be the best thing i can do to fix this problem? Thanks and God bless

Hi I have a Suzuki ts80 from 1987 and when I shift it clicks and goes back to center but dosnt go into gear

I have a lt250 quad racer it's a 1985 the gear shifter has no kickback but still shifts for instant I have to use my foot and shift up and down manually how could I fix this and what is the problem? I can push start it and drive but sat for a bit clutch wont disengage either can put it in nutral and 1 and 2nd gear?

Just picked up a 03 RM125 yesterday. While shifting up to second gear, it hits neutral but if I shift up again, it shifts into third. The rest of the gears seem fine but it doesn’t even try to engage second gear. Any ideas before I rip it apart?

Hello, i got a problem with my 04 rm 250, when im threading in the screws for the shifterpawl support plate i cannot shift the tranny, it’s completely stuck, but when im loosening a bit, i can shift perfectly fine, do you know whats the problem is?

I wanted to ask a question if I could sir, my sons rm125 2004 slips into neutral from 2nd / second gear when applying power, just replaced both shifting pawls and it hasn't fixed it ? frustrated

I assume you got it figured out. Same thing happened to me and it turns out I reinstalled my shift pawls into the wrong sides effectively putting them on upside down (they are slotted but slots are off centered to only be oriented one way)

This was helpful, only you didn’t go into detail on how to get that bracket over the mechanism.

Hi my young lad has a rm 85 .was on the track the day and he hit a jump it sounded like he went into nutril he parked it up it wuden move up r down then it finely went into first but wen going up from.there nothing fells stuck. Any advice wude be great thanks
